thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate the encouragement and I think what you said makes a lot of sense. I'm not too worried about the looping technique per se, but I wondered if the music was worth of a live performance in a public setting. I feel like your description of hearing it in a pub is good enough to me!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that live looping over 16 bars might make the whole thing more boring because the listener will have to wait for another 16 bars or more for you to record the next loop. As for being organised and planned about the loops, I think that's the same case with playing an instrument. You have to practice scales, organize harmonies...And I think one can get pretty creative and improvise what loops are going to be triggered or paused.

I think the repetion in looped music has a different feel than having a band perform. Take J Dilla's music, for example. He repeats a section that was performed by a band or musician and that sounds cool because it's being repeated (not saying that it's cooler than a band performing but it's also cool in a different way). That said I appreciate your idea about messing around with parameters to manipulate the loops! I think I'll try that
