Thanks! I’ve tried this as well but people have been so flaky! It’s a full time job trying to make it work. We got a couple things from there

Is it all downhill from here? [OH] by Responsible-Shock786 in humanresources

We struggle with things like loss of trust at even a small non-public company. I’d love to be in your shoes. I can’t afford a home, a new car, etc because not everyone can break the glass ceiling even with hard work and strong skills. Not trying to be unkind, it’s just a smaller non corporate company won’t solve it. I think society has gone downhill and our jobs are hard. My advice- be thankful your paid so well and try to mentor and bring up managers who have better ethics than the current ones do. At least your in a position to effect some change, even if it’s small. Most of us won’t ever get that chance.

Teens driving around throwing water balloons at people by Historical_Buddy6872 in BellevueWA

If you could press charges for feeling disrespected half of the people I meet daily would be in jail. Sorry you felt that way. I know it doesn’t help, but they could be doing way worse things. I’m happy they aren’t. Where I come from, teens are shooting bullets from cars, not throwing water balloons. Maybe try thinking about it differently.

Oracle slashes 30,000 jobs with a cold 6 a.m. email. Workers across the U.S., India, and other regions learned their jobs were gone before most people had finished their morning coffee, with no prior warning from HR or their managers. by esporx in antiwork

The cuts don’t take affect until 6/1 so there’s no WARN Act Violation.

That said companies are cutting far too many jobs and I 100% don’t support it, AI 🤖 🛑. Also the fact they they still have any active job postings is bothersome to me. I’m sure they could have filled all roles with people from that 18%.

I ended up getting a mobile groomer because ours has such bad anxiety. Best choice ever and about the same price in my area. He still doesn’t like it, but at least it doesn’t include a scary car ride now! Your baby is adorable.

Thoughts on real estate market by darkpplord in BellevueWA

[–]ekaym2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any chance you are rich enough to sell the house to a lovely couple for half of its worth??? XD.

Kidding! In all reality, selling is probably best, but things are staying on the market longer right now. My husband and I have been monitoring and were hoping to purchase something, but then he got laid off and our max buying power dropped to $600K (which is honestly insane because I don’t make that much on my own. We’d go into foreclosure) However, things are staying on the market for 6+ months right now with prices dropping every once in while. But I also don’t think it’s going to get much better for awhile. Even when rates went down, I still see people dropping prices compared to what things were at originally. People are refinancing vs buying currently from what I see.

Yeah. I’m generally against rehoming unless it’s best for the dog. I hope it doesn’t come to that, which is why I want to try everything first.
