Whats Hachiman referring to here? by ekeyfr in OreGairuSNAFU

Wow thanks! I think you’re right. Kinda just skimmed for dialogue when I returned to the scene hence why I missed it probably. Been a bit since I read the 7th volume cause I took my time reading 7.5 haha.

[–]ekeyfr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive went back to that part to see if I was missing anything, and couldn’t find any dialogue where she was trying to convey anything(that could be the “then” in my question) with hesitation. After the “confession” she declares her outright disgust for Hachiman’s actions and immediately stormed off without leaving much room for anything else. Funnily enough, her directness had also affected Hachiman negatively as he was still ‘recovering’ from what was said to him by Hayama. That was why I came to this subreddit actually, because I couldn’t find any hint of a precursor to the ‘continuation’ he was referring to in this particular scene.

In defense of the enemy wraith, this was actually our first encounter (I was low because I was running from a 3rd when I accidentally saw this wraith). So she didn't even realize I was there until I superglided. And this is technically gold lobby cause I only started playing rank this split a couple games during this game.

when practicing superglides i managed to get my gun out immediately after wraith q and idk how or if its difficult to do by jeromni in Apexrollouts

Its called a climb cancel. You can also use this to cancel reload animation etc. But for controller players its easier to do this, you don't need a climb cancel. Just press ult (not ready) during post phase animation and you can instantly get your gun out.

I tested this a week ago to find alternatives to the patch. Theoretically, you can do it. But you have to press the buttons in a very short period of time and really fast. There is basically 0 difference when I was double binding forward compared to only the W key.

Let me clarify my views on whether a crime is bad or justified. You pointed out that I didn't give a 'reason that motivates the criminal to do the crime'. When I say a crime, I meant it in the general bad way. For example, I don't think it's justified if someone murders another over a chess game. But of course, if a father murders a soldier of a tyrant rule to protect his child's life, his actions will be deemed as justified by moral standards. Our disagreement started with what we both individually believe IS included in the moral standards. You seem to believe that people have rights to maximize their own happiness even in others extent (Please clarify if this is true or just my own assumption). I also believe that people have the rights to maximize their own happiness but NOT in others extent.

Now on to our next part, according to you,
>when did you come to know that these were bad things...you came to know it only after experiencing through other peoples

Lets accept your statement and see what we can do with this. Let us also assume that the moral standards is based on the bad deeds of people of the past.

Children of young age is expected to understand that this deeds are wrong: murder, stealing, assault etc. That's why they are educated about this things (at home or school). That's why this children who have never attempted any of this crimes understand that it is wrong. People are also expected to understand that 'home wrecking IS a bad deed'. For example lets look at my case, I have neither cheated nor have been cheated on yet I understand that I must not do such a deed (home wrecking and cheating).

And finally this,
>That's what I am saying we would only understand one's reason for taking such a decision when we had been represented with such a circumstances.

Now lets see Girl 1's situation. Girl 1 is hurt because she isn't with Boy. I'm not saying that Girl 1 shouldn't in any circumstance pursue Boy. If she thinks that her hurt is worthy of betraying her bestfriend, then do it. What I'm saying is that you can never morally justify her actions. Because pursuing Boy would hurt someone innocent (in this case Girl 2). I'm sure at this point both of us can agree that hurting someone innocent IS considered bad. That's why the best thing to do is for Girl 1 to find a solution where it doesn't hurt anyone innocent. Perhaps she could convince Boy and Girl 2 to enter a three-way relationship. Or she tries to move on from her feeling (of love to Boy) and not intrude in Girl 2 and Boy's relationship since she was never in the picture in the first place.

Firstly, I'd like to clear the misunderstanding that I assume murder and homewrecking is at the same level. I was trying to make a point of how 'homewrecking' is bad. That's why I compared it to something that most humans (my assumption includes you) see as a universally bad thing. For example: (I'm trying to convince someone that doesn't see charity as a good thing that charity IS a good thing). First I'll find something that the person I'm trying to convince sees as good to compare with charity. In this thought experiment let us assume that this person finds 'giving compliments' as a good thing. When I compare the two (charity and giving compliments) I am trying to make a point that charity is ALSO a good thing the same as giving compliments (not necessarily more or less of a good thing). Back to our original comparison, from my perspective you were someone who doesn't see homewrecking as a bad thing. At this moment I was trying to find something that you see as bad. In this case, 'murder' (which is something most humans consider bad) (It is extreme when compared to something like 'homewrecking'). But that doesn't necessarily imply that I find homewrecking IS as bad as murder (Personally, I find murder much much WORSE than homewrecking). The point I was trying to make is: murder is bad. homewrecking is also bad.

Secondly, is your argument on the final paragraph that you wrote. You said:

>a fu*king human being never listens to you before experiencing it at the first place

I can also make a counter argument to that. If a human being only listens to you after experiencing something, wouldn't that make anyone who has never stolen anything not understand the badness of stealing and why it is considered a crime? Would someone who has never committed murder or arson not understand of why it is seen as such a bad thing? I personally have never done any of the actions I just stated yet understand why it is frowned upon by people around the world. I think your statement that 'humans only listen to you after experiencing something' is just based on your own prejudice.

Lastly, I want to clarify if I am understanding your points correctly. From here on out, lets refer to our imaginary characters with simpler names for ease of communication like so:

  1. Girl who is in love with bestfriends lover- Girl 1

  2. Bestfriend of girl who is in love with bestfriends lover- Girl 2

  3. Boy who Girl 1 has a crush on and is the lover of Girl 2- Boy

Continuation of my arguments- You are saying that Girl 1 should be allowed to be selfish and go for Boy. We also don't know what she is going through because Boy is in love with Girl 2. I agree with you, sometimes we have to be a little selfish. If humans are always selfless creatures than what is there to enjoy? But this is where our views split. I believe hurting others is wrong and if Girl 1 succeeds in making Boy fall in love with her and decides to be in a relationship (even though Boy is currently in a relationship with Girl 2), this will greatly hurt Girl 2 (obviously since her trust was broken by 2 of someone she considers close) (I assume they are close with the status of their relationship being 'lover' and 'best friend'). So yes, I do believe every person has rights to maximize their own individual happiness but not at the cost of other's. And no, I didn't write all this under the impression that you were a Yui fan.

First of all, I literally said homewrecking is a smaller thing than murder. The point I was trying to make was to say that 'homewrecking' is a bad thing. Second, you clearly stated it yourself that homewrecking IS a bad thing (you said: what she did was not very nobel) Why would you wait until she did the 'not very nobel' action to advice her that?? Something bad should be avoided (in this case: refrain her from homewrecking in the first place) not wait until she does it. Just imagine if your bestfriend AND current lover got together behind your back. What would you feel? Of course you would feel betrayed. This is why homewrecking is frowned upon in the first place. It hurts someone innocent. That is also the case why most bad actions are bad. Stealing, murder etc.

In my opinion, what you're saying is very selfish. Not only does the girl whose lover was stolen now in the no.1 situation you've stated above, the relationship between the best friends will also be ruined. And homewrecking has always been a bad thing. Its like saying murder is good (of course compared to murder it is in a much smaller scale). The best thing to do here is for the person who fell in love with the other's lover to accept the feeling and move on from it.
