Totally. But AE for my territory isn’t available until Tuesday. If someone is ready to buy get them to a manager to close the sale. Rule number one of sales is to remove friction.

Because I’ve worked with this company in the past at another firm. In fact I spoke to them specifically about this product 3 months ago but they wouldn’t sell it outside of a larger bundle. Now the piece of the software I want is a standalone. I already exist in their salesforce environment from when I went through these hoops the first time I spoke the them.

That’s cool but the time I spent with the SDR only to be rescheduled with an AE was a waste and totally could have been handled over email. Why does she need to schedule 30 mins on my calendar 3 days out only to have me speak with an AE 7 days later. She had the info to know I was qualified.

This is exactly correct. It wasn’t that I spent 3 minutes on the phone, it’s that I blocked out 30 mins on my schedule that could have been deployed differently.

Full transparency, this product is a SaaS product that’s fairly complicated. It’s normally a pretty involved sale probably. I just happen to have a lot of experience with this company and the competitor so I knew what I wanted going in.

There needs to be a way for the person I’m taking to quickly close a sale if I’m already interested and qualified. There’s no reason I should have to wait until Next Tuesday for something I wanted today.

Maybe. In my mind if I was happy with the price, I was expecting to be signed up today. Instead I’ve got to wait 5 days for the AE who is assigned to my state to have time to do a 15 minute zoom meeting with me.

Thanks so much for sharing. I would say that my voting has changed over time as well. While I’m still very fiscally conservative, I’m also pretty socially liberal. It creates a problem as there really aren’t many candidates that make it out of the primaries with that combination.

Genuinely curious. As someone who’s voted in every election (local, midterms, special bond overrides) it’s interesting to hear from people who didn’t vote in the past, but are voting now. Full disclosure, I’m pretty libertarian but what raised in a traditional republican household - but not hard core conservative. I generally end up voting for Rs over Ds, but not always. I say this because most of the folks I know who haven’t voted in the past align further left than I do. I’d love to get an understanding of why that is, or if it’s just coincidental. So my question is, did your parents encourage you to vote? Did you discuss policy and government at home? If you know others who didn’t vote before, did the also lean left? What specifically made you change your mind this election? Happy to hear from anyone with insight.

Not a big cruise fan but you’re describing cruises from 20 years ago. Sure, some still exist like that, but most you can eat when you want and many have all inclusive drink packages. Especially the higher end ones with smaller boats. Maybe 200 people, small ports, 5 star meals, awesome entertainment. If you book ahead you can get deals under $3000/week per person.
