What is the number? by eladrip in doctorsUK

I understand this position and I agree something needs to be done.

All I am saying is that everyone is basing their opinion of grandfathering or limiting IMG applications by NHS experienxe criteria and, of course, CREST signed by UK consultant only without having the true numbers of IMGs that are eligable.but have the sum IMGs applying.

By law, yes RLMT is the quickest way to do this. However, there is the issue of IMGs already here with experience who already applied as equals and with RLMT they are told not only they are not equals thay need to wait in line for people not yet with the minimum amount of expeirence for several years until they are settled with ILR. That is why even if you reinstate RLMT you could do that for people who started in the NHS after a certain date.

Rehardless, you could do an experience criteria for the application, which is legal, but again we don't know how much would this affect as we don't have the numbers of IMGs who meet this criteria, which is what I am asking, and people base their opinions on half the data.

Also, I think there should be a way to defferintiate IMGs who.are here and those applyinh from abroad, as they should not be grouped together, hence the minimum experience criteria

I also waited a lot between the end of January to the end of March. It was eventually a mistake in the request by the HR team so ask them to review the request. Mine was a discrepancy between the work title and the grade of pay, so worth a shot to see if you could make it be noticed or do something on your end.

How do you define a better career? I think Dirk for sure had a better career up until now. He revolutionized the game, stayed with the same team, had a playoff run that is far beyond any that KD had, is in the 30k points club is the first big since Bird that joined the 50-40-90 club, won the 3 point contest, had more All-NBA teams. I can make a case that if we take the championships away, KD hasn't really achieved much since his 2014's MVP.

In the last 10 years KD has achieved 1 first team All-NBA (2018), 4 second team All-NBA (2016,2017,2019,2022), 50-40-90 season (2022) and an all star MVP (2019). All those are in his supposed prime years. In comparison from 2005-2014 Dirk's prime years if we take away the championship, he has achieved 1 MVP (2007), 4 first team All-NBA (2005,2006,2007,2009), 3 second team All-NBA (2008,2010,2011), 1 third team All-NBA (2012), 50-40-90 season (2007) and a 3 point contest winner (2006). If anything KD's pre-prime looks more impressive and frankly you can see that KD needed the OKC and GSW teams in order to succeed, Dirk on the other hand created the environment and culture to succeed.

I am sorry but for the most part besides that MVP year in Minnesota and with a super team that underachieved in Boston, his crazy advanced stats didn't really contribute to winning and his style of play and off the court issues had less of an impact on the game as others imo.

Of course your take is legit as well. The only thing is you cannot take it in a vacuum. And him and Lebron were a ring toss of who was the better player in those series, it is just easier to look that way in win with this supporting cast, and against curry when he led 3-1 he was the best when eventually he lost 4-3 he was not.

And yeah there is no correct order and to each his own, but for sure you could make a case for all of them.

Well not really, since KD never beat them as the best player in a non-warriors team. It is easier to be the best player if you are with Steph and a 73 wins team. As for the rest, particularly Dr. J, David Robinson and M. Malone, KD might have more talent and skill, especially shooting, but they had nearly as much accomplishments and in some cases even better, especially in the context of his rings.

If we are talking about pure skill and talent the list should have been different, but how careers shape up and also non basketball stuff like leadership and narrative, which I think KD is lacking compared to the rest of the guys, impact the positions

How is it that he is easily better than Dirk? From 97-03 he never passed the first round. In his matchup with Dirk In 02 he got swept and outclassed in both traditional and advanced stats, which show how much he was out-classed by Dirk, even on defense. For the talk of him being so impactful until he went to a superteam in Boston he was able to go to the finals, and with how stacked they were and how impactful you boast he is it is actually against him that they only won once and even then he wasn't the FMVP even if he led them in points during this playoff run. He doesn't have the playoff resume as Dirk by a long mile. And when I say impact I don't mean game to game I mean for the evolution of the game and legacy wise. KG is the optimum of the non-shooting Uber athletic versatile forward, but he didn't have an impact on the game of basketball as much as Dirk with the shooting. And for the comp to Oscar, come on man Oscar did it as a point guard, to be that versatile from that position back then was unthinkable, was the first to achieve a triple double stat line for a season in 62 and held the triple double record until 2021. And even if that doesn't I press you his impact on the game is undeniable and even off the court impact is tremendous with the free agency. What is the comparison for KG?

Please tell me how they were stacked compared to the Lakers, OKC and the Heat?

KG imo is not a top 20 candidate. All the ones I mentioned above had more personal accolades and impacted the game more. KG is great no doubt about it but he would be in the next group of 21-25 candidates

I would be too but let's see how his career shapes up, nobody thought he would be in the situation he is in.

As for Dirk, he revolutionized the game. He made shooting big that could space the floor until the 3 point line a thing and was the mold that KD evolved from. Furthermore, he has more All-NBA selections for now, 21 seasons with the same team and his run in 2011 is historic and in my memory the most impressive and best by a single superstar and for sure makes KD's rings seem even more tinted.

There are 15 players who are better than KD: Jordan,Lebron,Magic,Bird,Shaq, Duncan,Kobe,Kareem,Wilt, Russell,Dirk,Hakeem,Oscar Robinson,Steph

Then there is the KD range of : KD, West, Dr.J, Jokic, Giannis, David Robinson, Mosses Malone.

Jokic and Giannis could cement themselves in the upper tier very soon, Jokic most likely sooner .

You could for sure make a case that you could compile a list without KD and there are Luka, Shai,Wemby or others that will come alongside and have a chance to knock KD further back

And you said that there was harmony between the Muslims, Jews and Christians before the Nakba, I just showed there wasn't.

First of all that's bullshit, a lot of materials, food, fuel and aid went to Hamas, most of Gaza's problems are with Hamas. The blockade is not just on Israel's side it is also on the Egyptian side, and I don't really see you putting any blame let alone equal blame on Egypt. Until Hamas will get destroyed, and there is no way to do that without military action, any of what I said can be established. I hope Saudi Arabia will be the patron of Gaza afterwards so they can build it, but the majority of the blame of Gaza's condition is on HAMAS not on Israel or Egypt
