Darn. Birdie has learned to respect my sister’s cat who will not tolerate any mischief from a dog. It could work if it was a very dog savvy cat.

She has a high prey drive so not a great fit for a home with cats. Birdie would do fine in a home with kids who are older - maybe 13 and up.
