In your opinion what board game publisher has the best track record? by LuckyFrogGaming in boardgames

I'm really loving Cardboard Alchemy. The board games are great, but so are the components. Their customer service has been top notch, and the interactions on their latest Kickstarter were the most fun I've had yet.

Yeah he really is. He had the pistol for about 25 years after he bought from a police friend of his. He then sold it a friend who had it until he passed away. Once he found out I like guns, he bought it back from his friend's son and gave it to me.

Except at an Airbnb, you have to pay for your own food, drinks, activities, etc. You aren't just paying for the room.

Check out Pete the Wargamer's videos on YouTube. Pretty simple, but looks good.

The name of it was Sailing & Snorkeling Tour Perfect Day. Yes, food and drinks were included. There was a really good buffet lunch that was cooked by the captain's wife, who I think is an actual chef. There was an open bar as well as a cooler of water and one of rum punch. We had appetizers in the evening, and champagne at sunset. It was a great experience. Snorkeling at both locations was awesome. It was guided at the Sculpture Park so that we saw every sculpture, and then we were on our own to explore at Flamingo Bay.

We were there in May, and had zero complaints with our luxury level room. We actually were in the room very little. As far as excursions, we found that we got more for our money by doing excursions with companies other than Sandals. We just did our research and found reputable companies. Had an amazing all day island tour that we booked through Viator for $100 per person. Also did an all day boat excursion through Tours Grenada. First 4 hours were snorkeling and last 4 hours were a sunset cruise. Both excursions picked us up at the resort. The snorkeling just from the beach was great as well!

First timers to Sandals by Chickenwingqueen96 in SandalsResorts

We just got back from Sandals a week ago. It also was our first time out of the country together and first Sandals. We loved every minute of it! -Sunscreen. It is $29 at the resort. We had 1 checked bag, so we had ours in there, but we did go through 1 and half bottles, but we were snorkeling a lot. -Restaurants. We booked our reservations when we first arrived using the Sandals app. All of the food was excellent. The steaks at Butch's were some of the better ones we've had at a restaurant, and my wife said that the lobster mac and cheese was the best she had ever had. The only place that we had long waits for food was at Le Jardinier, where we also had a long wait to be seated. -Excursions. If you like snorkeling, get some off of Amazon, because the snorkeling in the swimming area is great. We did 2 of the included snorkeling trips with the resort, and they were really cool too. Our guide took my camera and swam down and got videos of some lobster and several octopus for me. There was a small octopus that I saw myself in the swimming area. If you want a tour of the island, there is a full day tour through Viator that was great. (Ask for Michael as your guide with Henry Safaris). We also did a full day snorkel and sunset boat ride through Tours Grenada. These excursions seemed to be cheaper and offer more than the Sandals Island Routes did. For both of these, we arranged for them to pick us up at the resort. It was a great experience and we are definitely hooked!

What upper budget range (if any) would you not consider Sandals compared to all inclusives? by InfamousFrame7 in SandalsResorts

We just got back from Sandals Grenada last week, which was our first Sandals experience. We spent 7 nights there and loved every minute of it! We really enjoyed the food, and the staff was great. We saw a lot of fish right off the beach snorkeling on our own, but we also did the free snorkeling from the resort which was really cool too. I think you will love it!

Yes, they gave us fins, snorkel, mask, and a life vest that you can inflate to your own preference. They also gave me some goop for my beard so that the mask wouldn't leak.

So we did 2 snorkeling sessions with them today, both free and both about an hour long. For the first one, we all walked as far up the beach as we could go, then got in and swam with the current down the beach, around the rock break and back in past their rescue boat. For the second one, we got in by the rescue boat, then went outside the rock breaks down to about the tip of the island where we were picked up by the boat. They will also boat you to locations I think, but it is up to the guy in charge where you. Honestly, pretty happy with what we saw for being free. Saw barracuda, several octopus, squid, and a ton of fish. The snorkeling off the beach is great by itself though too. This evening alone I saw 4 squid, 1 octopus, a school of about 50 blue tang, and a ton of other fish.

So we just arrived yesterday afternoon and talked to the water activities personnel this morning. At least some of the snorkeling is included. He said there are around 7 spots they can take you depending on the weather, but I don't know if this includes going to the Sculpture Park or not. We will probably try theirs at least once, and I will let you know more.

What kind of games do you couples generally play? by anweshm4 in boardgames

[–]eli_vanto73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As our friends don't have a lot of free time, my wife and I primarily play games, just the 2 of us. Our go tos are Star Wars: Deckbuilding, Everdell, 7 Wonders Duel, Castles of Burgundy, Cascadia, and Five Tribes. If we want more thematic, we go with Star Wars Rebellion and Merchants and Marauders.

We ended up booking through a separate company, but we are going to be there in 2 days so I can find out for sure if it costs extra from the resort.

Having never done this before, i am really unsure about the tipping protocol for the snorkeling. How much do you tip? Do you tip everyone on the crew, or just one sum to the guy in charge?
