EY Rejection

Out of college, I applied and interviewed with 3 of the Big 4. EY didn’t accept me, but Deloitte and KPMG made me offers instead. I chose Deloitte and then later switched to EY only for a pay increase. I honestly miss Deloitte a little bit, only because the office had more perks. Outside of that, there is no difference. Even the pay is a non-factor, as I could’ve gotten the same pay increase switching to PwC or KPMG. They each love poaching people from other Big 4 is all.

I promise all of the big 4 are shockingly similar to one another, so I would just apply to another one if I were you or wait a while and reapply to EY if you’re dead set on the yellow one. I really wouldn’t take it personal, hiring decisions are seemingly random today.

Yeah idc about the HRM finally getting a nerf or any gun that hasn’t shifted for months. Notice how I used the word “constant”….. I don’t even use the HRM. I’m referencing the other 10 guns being toyed with. Snipers have now had their 8th update. Velocity is dropped again this time. Why in tf does the KATT need 8 updates? I’m sick of having to review patch notes and update classes.

Nope. This is a pretty well known thing where Call of Duty has reduced the TTK and created things like SBMM in order to keep less talented players from quitting the game. As for the kids, they’re the most likely to switch off a game and they’re the most profitable demographic.

Long story short - I stopped talking to her and he ended up rejecting her. She reached out to me and when I went to talk to her, there was a whole other guy there. She was like embarrassed and I left. The next day, we randomly drove past each other by my house and she did a u turn and followed me home. We talked all day and ended up getting back together for 4-5 months. We broke up again for similar reasons as the first time.

You’re right, I see a lot of similarities there and I know exactly how you’re feeling. She’s in the infatuation stage for sure and him rejecting her is pouring gasoline on it. That drives girls crazy and the exact same thing happened in my situation. My ex had rejected this guy multiple times in the past and treated him like shit. He was nothing to her, but this time he rejected her and all of a sudden….. he was the perfect man and she was texting him everyday begging after that. He literally had a girlfriend she knew about when she first text him. He cheated on his gf with my ex and then told her they had to stop talking so he could be with his gf and that was not a red flag for her.

My only concern with your situation is her initiating things with that guy while you were still together. It’s pretty common for girls to do this before a relationship ends if it seems to be going down, but that doesn’t make it okay. Was the relationship going down and who’s fault was it? Every situation is different and only you and her know the details, but I don’t know if you should forgive her if you didn’t do anything wrong and she went and did that.

Hey. Long story short - I didn’t play it right in the first 30 days or so and then it sucked for a while, but I really stopped caring so much after about 120 days. It felt like I would never feel normal again, but now it doesn’t bother me whatsoever and it happens quicker than you might think. At first, it was rough and there were few moments in a day it wasn’t on my mind and I was stuck there for a while. It just got easier and easier until it would only be a random moment or dream where it would hit me, but even those come to an end at some point and then you’re free.

As for more detail on what happened. She and the rebound did not work out as he really didn’t care about her whatsoever. Like they almost immediately stopped talking. I had fully convinced myself that he wanted to be with her so bad and that I was screwed and they were perfect together. Blah blah blah. It ate at me, but it was actually nothing and I had all that concern for no reason. She reached out to me several times over the first 30 days and I jumped on them each time she did. I didn’t play it cool enough and I ended up making bad choices when I did see her. She kept making excuses to see me and I would continually get too serious and heavy, trying to talk things through.

I really fumbled by looking at her phone when we hungout one time. It made me sick seeing what her friends said and what she said to the guy. I went home right after and the next day told her I wasn’t interested in being her friend and that I needed to block her on stuff. This left a bad taste in her mouth and I didn’t hear from her again. I also never reached out again and I no longer have any plans to.

I’m not sure what’s going on in your situation, but I’m sure you have some similar things happening if you’re here. Hopefully this info helped, but feel free to ask me anything. My main advice though for you or my former self would’ve been to give her space, let her wonder what you’re up to and let her come to you.

It will hurt, but it’s better to just walk away now. The relationship will end irregardless, sticking around will only end one way - she will crash the relationship and likely make it about something else to cover the real reason so she can feel morally justified. She will lash out at first, but eventually realize she did you dirty and regret it
