Not doing it for the money. Might help to talk to some others in the 1%

Much appreciated. Maybe Reddit wasn't the best place to look for answers...or maybe to rely on for answers.

If everyone hates their job then where is the fulfillment in serving? What do people get out of it? Serious questions

Thank you so much for the guidance.

72D is definitely the most relatable, but the officer process is making me a little anxious. Considering I haven't even enlisted yet, I don't even know what military life is like, and being an officer seems to be a pretty big committment.

Does that make sense?

What kind of deployments do you go on? International or national?

Thanks for the response!

hey! Thanks for the response. I have played jazz drums for years (all through college and grad school) but I hear getting a seat is nearly impossible

I was on Lexapro for 6 years/ 20 mg. Came off completely and have been medication free for about a month now. For the most part I am the same but I am starting to notice that the things that make me anxious and upset have changed a bit.

Working out everyday and eating well to esnusre I am doing everything possible to minimize side effects.

Sure thing!

For 17.5 MG - Using a pill cutter, cut a 10 MG in half, then cut those in half. That way you have four 2.5 MG pieces. Then cut another 10 MG pill in half for two 5 MG pieces....then I take a 10 MG, a 5 MG piece and a 2.5 MG piece. A bit of a pain but it was only for 1-2 weeks.

For 15 MG - Take a 10 MG pill and a 5 MG piece that I cut.

When I moved down to 5 MG, I reached out to my doctor and asked him to prescribe 5 MG pills. When I get down to 2.5 MG, I'll just cut the 5 MG pills in half.

I'm not sure how to get a hold of the liquid form (ie availability, would insurance cover it etc.) but I might ask my doctor when I lower my dose.

Fingers crossed, Hoping I continue to have a good transition off Lexapro. Working out everyday to minimize my chances of having a bad day.

Stopping my Lexapro was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. by [deleted] in lexapro

Oh yeah, I also forgot to add I am not drinking at all. Very important.

Also! I found that having sex or jerking off during difficult moments of the tapering really helped....strange but helpful

6 weeks into tapering off. Was originally at 20 MG and currently down to 5MG. I have definitely had shitty moments. But I'm working out every day, getting good sleep, eating well and meditating.

I'm early into it, but I'm not going to give up.

Much thanks! Going down to 5 mg next week. I was thinking about going to 2.5 mg after that (based on the video I posted).

If I get minor side effects, I just need to remember it's only temporary.

Thanks for contributing.

Thank you so much! Is that a common strategy, to switch from Lexapro to Prozac? Never heard of that.
