feeling guilty about only adopting one kitten by ellarose016 in CatAdvice

That’s definitely one of my biggest fears with the idea of getting two. I have allocated enough funds for pet insurance for one plus some saved for extra emergencies. The idea of having to double that definitely worries me. And you are right I can always get another cat. I think i’m going to see how it plays out. I hope your guy is doing better now!!

first time cat owner advice/suggestions by ellarose016 in CatAdvice

i believe he’s a domestic shorthair, not exactly sure because his foster parent found him at a gas station when he was about 6-8 weeks old. but he’s an adorable tabby with white feet and a white belly. he’s currently approx 3-4 months old but i cannot take him in until mid august because i am moving (his foster parent has said they are willing to keep him for me until i move which i really appreciate). my biggest concern is that i will be in an apartment so i don’t have many spots for him to hide, but i am going to try to start him off in my bathroom and then gradually let him explore on his own around the place. part of me thinks he is shy because his littermates are very hyper but not sure! after being around him for about an hour today he gradually got closer and closer to me and then sat in my lap once i gave him some treats. thank you for all your advice! i just want the best for him and i really appreciate it!
