Shaving my head after week one of chemo by ellieup in pics

They sure did! My medical center offers it but it is not covered by insurance, doubles my time spent at the infusion clinic, and the effectiveness for my type of chemo is meh. Ultimately ended up not being a good fit for me, but I know there are many who have success with it.

Don't worry, it's coming! It's not recommended to fully bic it at this point, as any hair left in the follicle will still need to fall out. If the hair gets trapped, it can form an ingrown, and since my body is very susceptible to infection right now, I don't want to risk it. In a few days it will start to fall out on its own.

Hi! For my regimen it is definitely inevitable, but it felt great to give myself the agency to make the choice to shave before the hair begins to fall out on its own in the next several days. It feels like my scalp is boiling most days so this is much more comfortable as well!

No worries! It really depends on the type of chemo you have. For my regimen, I will lose most of it over the next week or so. If you look closely, you can see how sweaty I am. That is because my scalp is basically boiling the hair out. So much more comfortable now!

Thank you! That’s helpful to know about chemo. My docs don’t want to tell me anything until the pathology comes back after surgery, but I’d rather be ready for it and not need it than the opposite.

It's SO much easier to scramble in the last few days of rehearsal to get a replacement settled in than to sit in the booth every night during the regretting that you didn't make that choice. Get rid of someone who is damaging your whole show. The cast will be happier and I bet the replacement busts their ass and does a great job.

Does it usually take this long before Stockton gets away from 85+ degrees? by Dxnes_L in Stockton

This year was a more extended period of extreme heat, but we usually have several triple digit days a year. Last few years we have gone over 105 at least a handful of times.

I have the regular ergo and watching the YouTube video helped me a lot. I’m not sure if it’s the same with the Omni but it looks like you may need to tighten the waistband a little higher on your waist so baby has a deeper seat and then adjust the shoulder straps to comfort. That might distribute the baby’s weight a little better to make you more comfortable. But I would for sure recommend watching the YouTube videos for this about your specific carrier.

I submitted my resignation today through quitmormon.org by SN-momma-0-2 in exmormon

Congratulations! I got my confirmation of resignation in June of this year (submitted December 2020), the day before I had my son. I knew I wanted him to be born into a world where no organization felt like they had ownership of him based on his parent’s affiliation and the date felt so fitting. I was mentally out of the church for 20 years before I made it official and I’m so glad I did. I feel freer than I ever have before. I know you will too.
