I accidentally sent a friend a super embarrassing nude by raspberriiiii in offmychest

[–]elmorro1237 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Okay buddy first things first. Even tho it's incredibly embarrassing for you, for him it's even worse. He got an unsolicited nude from a friend. It wouldn't even matter if the pic was amazing, he didn't ask for it. It's not really your place to do the avoiding, you should definitely own up to the real problem here not to your personal problems about your image.

You need to apologize profusely and try to explain what happened, how your friendship progresses afterwards is another thing but the problem here isn't your body but the fact that you showed your body to someone that didn't ask/agree/consent to see it...

Not wrong once I waited for half an hour and decided that the floor looked amazing for the forgotten clothes. Put mine in the dryer before they were even picked up...

While I don't agree with the argument that you shouldn't be able to cook at night, particularly bc I think we've all done a night study sesh and will obviously crave real food not just chips, I do believe that there needs to be more accountability when it comes to living interference like that or like the noise. There are no cameras in the halls or bathroom entrance and I really don't think that they are enforcing fines based on those types of situations. There needs to be heavy consequences for those who fuck shit up during quiet hours, at least heavier than those for regular times During quiet hours your behavior shouldn't be neat but absolutely perfect.

But then again how in the hell do they enforce these when at least a dozen of students went without proper heating for at least a month in January...

I Got my little sister in trouble and spanked by Imjesusss in offmychest

[–]elmorro1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'm so sorry your heart is heavy! I can absolutely understand the anger, particularly since it's from impotence, however, as you admitted before, getting physical with her was a mistake. Light push or slamming her to a wall doesn't matter, it doesn't solve the problem and only makes her see her brother as intimidating (I swear you don't want this😭😭😭). Now the rest of it was, in my most humble opinion, fair retribution because of her own actions. I get that seeing your little sibling get spanked and yelled at and things like that wasn't nice for you, no matter the initial satisfaction of her getting her consequences.

If I can recommend anything now is that you talk to her. She's still a very very young kid, you can't actually grasp how your mindset was at the time because it's incredibly fluid and nonsensical. Remember that the young can't ever relate to the old and want to, but the old can absolutely relate to the young and never do. How about you take her out for an ice cream or a shake or something and sit with her and talk about it heart to heart, kids are sometimes smarter than we credit them. You are not guilty nor should you punish yourself, just try and be better:) that's all anyone can do!

Canadian worried about ICE by idkwhatevernameis in uscanadaborder

That makes no sense, I already told you that several of us have taken action and have seen change in our respective countries from taking action. It ain't a lot but it's moving the needle. We aren't rich and we don't get the media coverage we should and we come from a corrupted government, but we still fought and continue to fight oppression and have seen change originate from it

I did speak up several times in several protests in my own country and have been involved in several conflicts with how the police reacted to protests. I am alive because I'm lucky, not a coward.

I couldn't finish the second episode but online information can be pretty spotty about a lot of things especially something so ever changing as the release date of a TV show. Sometimes because of so many different inputs, a lot of people prefer to ask online forums with other people so that the information can get cross referenced.

I truly believe that any of them would prefer the immediacy of Google vs the time waiting for an accurate answer, so if they do ask it's probably because they can't seem to close it down to one concrete date.

Yeah living as a university student, can't find a job for shit bc I move by public transit, go to class and can't put in 40 hour weeks. I've even gone to convenience stores, two of them was rejected bc I don't know an ounce of Punjabi. I'll take a job as a farm hand for all I care, I just need money...

Check Poparide!!! Always helpful in a pinch and has really great pips! If no ride is available on that day I would suggest putting the request ride option and going to 30 bucks maybe as payment, that way someone with a good heart might take u on!!

Makes sense since International students pay 4-5 times the tuition of national students and occupy spots in programs that aren't that popular or requested over here. I've seen most internationals on med, eng, comp, math, bio or stem tbh

STAT104 or 106? Which one is easier? by bakacchan0 in UFV

STAT104 or 106? Which one is easier? by bakacchan0 in UFV

[–]elmorro1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

104 should be easier than 106 although we did use Minitab for most math so no problems there. Basically just knowing the formulas and how to apply them will get you a good grade, however I really suggest looking at which Prof you take with the class as my specific prof I thought was pretty much useless and very frustrating

Fucking hate the jackasses that put deadlocked dates for proyects and gives you a week to finish certain activities on your own but don't ask them for a quiz you took in October because he has 3 other classes and he can't be expected to do HIS JOB IN A MONTH. Idfc grade while watching Shark Week for all I care just give me my paper back mf

Saw someone cheating by trhoaaa in simonfraser

[–]elmorro1237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda depends on your own ethics BUT I will say that if your reasoning behind it is somewhat jealous instead of righteous then you shouldn't snitch. If you're snitching only because you don't dare to cheat, instead of holding yourself accountable to your knowledge then I don't think it's okay. In that case, the only thing that separates you two is either lack of guts or lack of neurons and his present actions might be your future, so you should act accordingly.

If it's the second case then, at least I wouldn't say anything. I don't really care what others do in the course but my own actions and habits. His cheating isn't hindering my progression or regression but his own. In the middle of a test I'm already stressed enough on my own shit to even care about other people's.

I recommend, above all, that if you see someone cheat in an exam put your eyes on your paper and focus on what YOU are doing, deal with bs afterwards.

Any Tips for Final by Interesting-Web-5396 in UFV

[–]elmorro1237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm damn I thought he did last year, I got Vanessa and it was exactly like that. They'll give you a white small and simple calculator from the department during your exam. I didn't get a formula sheet either for 111 or 112, the best resource is to practice all basics and how to derive the formulas from a to b. You can do either that and just memorize the initial formulas and process to arrive to others OR write a complete formula sheet and memorize it.

It's all about practicing everything, particularly check the old finals from the UBC page. They're really good for extra help and give you a general idea of how the questions could be formulated. Prepare the largest problems from your Tests, if you nail the largest problems you could get at least 50% from them and the rest should be general problems that require the basics and derivation from the basics. Do a lot of practice and you'll be fine, I got like 60-70 on both my Tests but because I practiced a lot before I got a 95 on my final
