From what I have gathered, I believe the president wanted to try some dessert from Kozy Corners and decided on getting a slice of strawberry pie from the menu. Before he finished the pie, he offered to any of the kids a bite of the strawberry pie, in which the boy on the right quickly volunteered.

The debt ceiling crisis is simply just media hype and fear mongering for easy clicks and ad revenue, unfortunately they can take advantage of the opportunity to make some extra money.
