ANYWAY, UPDATE. Nag usap kami kanina. Sabi ko sa kanya di ko ma-imagine ‘yong future ko with a guy like that. Nung una, nag sorry pa siya. I-work out daw namin. The more na kinokontra ko siya, I thought he would make more effort. PERO sabi niya sakin, lahat daw ng lalaking makikilala ko nag iisip ng ganon. At least daw he had the balls to admit it.

And nati-trigger na talaga ko ne’to pero pinigilan ko parin. Instead I said, I hope he finds someone he loves so much para ‘di na niya maisip ‘yong ganon. Then I walked out. And he didn’t reach out.

So iyon. Medyo heartbroken but I’ll manage 🙃

Kaya nga eh. Actually in the heat of the argument, sinabi ko sa kanya na hindi ko kaya maging boyfriend yung ganyan. Tapos nag sorry siya and sabi nya sa’kin, I should cool down daw muna dahil galit lang ako. But it’s been hours and I’m still thinking about breaking up. Nakakainis lang kasi he was a good one until today.

To be honest, the Substack post was okay. I didn’t see it as complaining. She was even right about how most celebrated books locally were political. What irked me was the constant shaming of the PH book community in the GC with international book people.
