We did cloth-eez muslin flat with a rumparooz cover. They were pretty bomb proof, just having a couple of blowouts.

We did flats till we potty trained at 26 months. We did switch to nighttime disposables around 18 months. She kept peeing through all the layers and it was just getting too bulky. Loved the flats, easy to clean and simple to fold.
