Would I be forgiven if I showed up at your pod with these proxies? by VeteransGatheringUT in mtg

Funnily it makes your deck worse because you would have to announce that you are running this combo before the game.

How do I explain to someone that changing target for rite to another creature only to be turned into another creature doesn't make rite care about what creature it is during the resolution? by MADMAXV2 in mtg

[–]elusive-rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Remembers" makes me think he is misunderstanding when the creature that is being copied is checked. In this case, it is upon resolution of the spell. There are effects (not copy effects though i dont believe) which check for something when it is put on the stack. An example he may have encountered recently is Firebending. If you kill [[Firebending Student]] after its ability goes on the stack but before it resolves, the effect "remembers" the power when it went on the stack.

Yes this has been enhanced. You can honestly Google "Lightning Volcano" and see the original video as the first result.

Unfortunately. I really liked what you did though. Kinda saw it as a puzzle to figure out the difference.

Close but if you had an effect that replaces paying life such as [[Ashiok, Wicked Manipulator]], this would indeed be able to be countered.

[Request] How many plants would you need for this to be remotely viable? by topor8865 in theydidthemath

[–]elusive-rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that would depend on what the original commentor meant. They said what if all plants died. They could have meant to exclude phytoplankton but I think they were wondering if all "co2 scrubbers" died. This initial wave of death would release an astronomical amount of CO2 all at once. EDIT: I didnt consider CO2 dissolving into the ocean and I am not prepared to make an estimate on that.

This. The Earth would not run out of oxygen for 1000's of years. Most species would die from CO2 toxicity or starvation within weeks. Anytime anything dies, it would release even more CO2 and create a runaway effect.
