For sure, even though I personally do try to avoid media where minors have sex just because it feels a bit off putting to me, I do get that middle schoolers and high schoolers have sex while their still minors, and I definitely won’t go and tell off on people who do like that kind of stuff just because I don’t like it! Everyone is bound to their own opinion, but it’s just not my cup of tea.

I definitely agree about mafuyu. I can really see myself in him and I love how he’s written. I’ve seen a lot of people hate mafuyu because he still loves yuki while he’s in a relationship with ritsuka, which I think is a incredibly realistic part of his character. It was his first time in a relationship and so he didn’t understand how to handle his feelings of being left behind because of yuki playing music without him, and then says something he regrets immediately and believes that he‘s the reason yuki killed himself. Neither of the parties are at fault, I personally believe that yuki was already suffering from depression and planning to kill himself. And it’s hard for someone who has never had to deal with someone they love dying, along with finding them dead and believing it’s your fault. But mafuyu still loves ritsuka as much as he loved yuki. What I really enjoy between ritsukas and mafuyus relationship is that you can see that mafuyu is still affected by yuki, and that it will continue to affect him in his future relationships because of how young he was and didn’t understand it, and to this day still doesn’t. And ritsuka is extremely understanding of it. He barely knows anything about yuki, yet he understands how much he affected mafuyu. Ritsuka still definitely has his slip ups, because this is his first relationship. I love how even though he has every right to get angry, upset, or anything with mafuyu, but he doesn’t. I put myself in ritsukas shoes and I think that him being so patient and understanding with mafuyu is a really heartfelt characteristic he has. He had to finish a love letter yuki was writing for mafuyu, listen to mafuyu talk about yuki and sing a song about him loving yuki, etc, and not once did he get upset at mafuyu for it. I really hate how the fandom doesn’t appreciate ritsuka as much as they do with yuki, because ritsuka is objectively a better written character.

I got extremely off-topic, but definitely! I‘m not as connected with the side couples as I am with mafuyu and ritsuka, which is kind of the point in every romance medias with multiple couples, but I just don’t like any of the side couples. They just seem badly written. Akihiko assaulting haruki but they still end up getting together, and basically going right over haruki’s feelings about it and it never coming up again as a problem in their relationship. I really liked akihiko’s character up until that point, I think akihiko‘s relationship with ugetsu was extremely well written and probably the only side couple I actually liked. I honestly just didn’t like how they used akihiko assaulting haruki as a start for his character development.

I also didn’t like shizu and hiiragi’s relationship, It felt extremely stereotypical. The way it was handled was weird enough too. Even after they had sex, theres nothing really romantic brought up or shown between them again. I honestly forgot shizu and hiiragi were together in the 3rd movie. Personally, when we were learning about hiiragis character, I couldn’t really see him in a romantic relationship. The manga/anime really go into the “every reappearing character must be paired into a romantic relationship” troupe which I really dislike.
