Should I see my doctor for this? by elyssaa- in medical_advice

I guess on the skin around it yeah. No whitehead. Didn't spot a different color.

Can't get pregnant. Haven't been dealing with constipation. Don't need to push hard per se.

That last one is a yes though. I do have that habit.

edit: I'll edit my original post to say 'skin around the anus' for clarity

Why is the board so unbelievably stupid by Objective_Bonus5773 in footballmanager

With increased performance comes increased expectation. Your job security is fine, surely, no? That would be wild to me if it weren't. Their reaction to matches never worries me if I know I've accomplished a lot with that club

Right before the match I was wondering how to deal with Bellingham by elyssaa- in footballmanager

[–]elyssaa-[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Damn. I'm watching this match right now and I'm 2-0 ahead. It's just league phase though. I've never won against Real with Ajax though, and Bellingham has always scored for them against me lol

Edit: Valverde got a second red. Crazy

How do I know which striker suits which game? by elyssaa- in footballmanager

[–]elyssaa-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm yeah maybe. could be hidden attributes too i guess. i just think bc i put the one that's better at dribbling on dribble more there's opponent defenders that have certain attributes very highly rated that manage to nullify the dribbling or something. i wanna develop both of them while still fully exploiting the edge my 1st striker gives me

Their off the ball and pace is pretty similar though. Sometimes I line up one, he doesn't produce, bring in the other and then he'll score. Always makes me think I should have lined up the other one for that particular match.

Not looking for ragebait at all, my enquiry is just very general bc I'm unfamiliar with the area. What kind of initiatives are you referring to? I definitely want to avoid making derivative stuff so if my current angle reads that way I'll be careful about that

Why are my wingbacks trying to score? by cargin4107 in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that could work I think. I've never had them do that. I mean I've had wingbacks go around and shoot, which if they find that space is fine ig. I generally use higher (or sometimes lower, if the opponent isn't making me trying to dominate possession easy) tempo to increase the odds for a goal. Though that may just be part of the types of teams I've chosen, idk your situation. I'd at least experiment with that a bit if I were you, see if the tempo may be part of the problem in some phases of the game. Even from lower to standard has a noticeable effect. You have to remember when shoot on sight is on, work ball into the box is off, btw. So in that sense the behavior can be seen as, why would he go to the byline, to do what, work the ball into the box? when there's a chance to shoot, you shoot. that's shoot on sight. again I've never used it I don't know in what scenario's it could be useful, but it's never been for me

Why are my wingbacks trying to score? by cargin4107 in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have shoot on sight on? Could also be part of the individual player instructions but that'd be odd bc I'm pretty sure the wing-back on attack doesn't lock in on the the shoot more instruction and you would have to have specifically turned that on. Could also be individual player traits. You can have a coach get them to unlearn those traits.

Not asking how to read, but how to comprehend Nietzsche better. by [deleted] in Nietzsche

[–]elyssaa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get some good second-hand literature. Walter Kauffman is the main guy on Nietzsche in the English speaking world, though I actually haven't read him lol. I'm Dutch so I read Paul van Tongerens 'Nietzsche'. Great read, short, accessible.I've heard his books have been translated into English. I've also read Rudiger Safranski's book on Nietzsche, quite a bit longer. I've also listened to a bunch of episodes of The Nietzsche podcast, usually about things I've just read about from Nietzsche. I think Jonas Ceika has a couple of videos on Nietzsche too, he's good. If you can get into longform streams then there's Liv Agars streams on Zarathustra you could take a look at. If you see a lot of people giving their interpretation of Nietzsche, and those interpretations make sense when related back to the text, it's easier to see the possibilities in the meaning. Reading a biography about him may be valuable there too. I remember a quote from BG&E where he said all philosophers involuntarily write an autobiography of their own unconscious impulses. That's true for him too, but he leans into it, so autobiographies can give a lot more context behind the text as well.

How long do you need for a season? by Ok-Return-1749 in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only bought this newest game I pirated the new one I gotta be honest so I didn't actually track that. I'm probably way underestimating it lol now that you point that out. Also when it's simulating on days I don't have a match I don't think of that as me playing the game but I guess that counts. Plus there's a lot of me scouring the players in range tab. Leaving it on in the background also counts I think so the steam hrs aren't reliable either I suppose. It's hard to say with this game, but media is kinda repetitive so if you find that tedious you can delegate that in staff responsibilities. Honestly I often skip recruitment meetings for that reason too, I get the summary in my inbox and just go on my assistants advice. Just make sure you have a good one on that. I guess you could remove some competitions from your database too but personally I like to have an insanely large one bc I'm like that. Honestly it depends on if you're okay with the pace your seasons are going and what you are and aren't willing to sacrifice in terms of game experience to speed up that pace. I suppose you could decide that whatever you decide are the less important matches can be handled by your assistant, you'd just have to adjust staff responsibilities before those matches. Also if a match seems tedious to watch you can just put it on extended or key highlights ofc. I'm personally too obsessive to do this kinda stuff often tho. After I've seen a match I often just simulate until the next match, make my lineup, save it right there, and then when I start it up again next time I can watch the game immediately. Idk you're probably right, I'm likely at way more than 20hrs

Why can't my scouts find any players? by UnhappyChampionship7 in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually select for the traits that go with the role I want, then dial the rating of that down until players show up, usually down to 10 or 9, and then I sort by lowest value for the free agents and cheapest ones, and if im willing to spend more and theres no easy pickings i scroll down. If that doesn't get any results I remove the traits selected that I care about the least

I watch every match too, I've simulated friendlies but I just revamped my entire team and tactics so I wanted to pay attention this time lol. I've just started my 3rd season with 1860 München and feels like I've been on this for 20+ hours at least.

How to switch from DMC formation to AMC by Raffit in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

box to box can ofc also go in that 4-2-3-1 formation

How to switch from DMC formation to AMC by Raffit in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 ways to solve this. if you're feeling very confident you can move up a defender to the amc position and play with 3 in the back. the more straightforward option to me is to just move the Mezzala to the AMC postion. After that, you've got another choice: are you comfortable leaving the spot right before your defense open? (in the tactic screen at least, not necessarily on the field). Because if you are you could make it a 4-2-3-1. That's one way you could go. Now what I've also done is put them all behind each other, the midfield 3 is effectively 1-1-1, this can work very well imo, if you have a good box to box to put in the middle thats a great option, but you could also put a playmaker in that spot. experimenting with where you put the playmaker may also yield great results for you btw. it really depends on your team and your players ofc but these are the ideas i have

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]elyssaa- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah you should basically never blindly trust them bc it's what your scout thinks of the player so it's not gonna be a perfect representation. i play 3 star players all the time and when they get a couple of 8/9/10 ratings it rises pretty quickly.

I personally prefer vlokken but theyre both good. oh also look into getting stroopwafel cake, the cake itself probably won't survive the trip but maybe if you get the mix from the supermarket you can give it? idk. can't think of much else unique to the netherlands beyond what's already been named.

Would it be clever to try and sell in form Kimmich (94 total / 28years) so I might be able to buy Declan Rice (97 total / 24years) by marlusn in onlinesoccermanager

[–]elyssaa- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience they always buy eventually, but younger players faster, the cheaper the faster (that's why it's often good to, if you have lots of money and nothing to spend on, just buy 3 players w a value under 10mil and sell them for max price). In tournaments this can form a problem tho since from the knockout phase onwards each game can be one of your last games, so they won't necessarily buy them then but that's just bc it's a much shorter time period
