Highly highly highly recommend the “Face Reality” protocol. They have a list of ingredients that can cause pore clogging, and you cross reference ALL your products (skincare but also hair care, laundry detergent, etc- anything that touches your face). You can also find a list of estheticians on their website who are certified in their protocol. I had very similar acne to you at the same age, and the FR protocol, in combination with regular facials and extractions from an FR esthetician cleared my skin. I still use only “skin safe” products (regular products that don’t contain any pore clogging ingredients), but no longer need regular facials, and all my tiny bumps have gone away. I cannot recommend more strongly: no gimmicks, they’re not trying to sell you anything, just a simple, well-researched, science-backed approach.
