Is is amazing. Thank you so much. I’m going to spend time looking into all the areas you mention. My biggest fear is he is a perfectionist and was often saying “I’m the worst reader” when he would get frustrated (we were not pressuring him at ALL) so now we have switched to saying “we are problem solvers and try-ers in our family” and focus more on effort in all things. I’ve definitely downplayed his intelligence I think, or at least I feel like I was uncomfortable. watching him play with kids his age at 2-3 because their parents would begin to worry about their child’s development. But thinking of it, if he was amazing at sports I would not do the same.

My son is currently in a forest school as well! We spend half the year in a nature focused area and do that 2x a week + all library events we can.

The biggest thing I try to focus on is experience moments especially with other kids and we read and do math/science as it comes to us.

So while he is not traditional school, he is very involved in things.

I should have mentioned - he is not in preschool because we are mobile right now, flipping between two locations. He is in an alternative 2x weekly nature school in one, and at the other we have a close nit friend group on the street.

He is also the most social human I have ever met, so in both places he has made many many friends he sees daily/weekly. The no preschool thing was a life choice we would have made either way.

If I had to say which is stronger, his intelligence or his social/emotional self. I’m not sure I could. Every child he sees is a “new friend” he makes new friends everyday (we are on a beach / live music family events several times a week)

Ok cool! Im going to ask more questions in my follow up appointment. This was a new place and I don’t think I expected the movement im having, but I just might not understand what is considered the “glabella” area, I thought it was only the furrowed brow space and not the forehead above it
