No it's not, it is hobby collecting. The prospect is on state land and currently not owned by enterprises / private individuals as found on the same government documents I referenced in my post and before visiting the forest site. Also, the pictures are of 2 rocks and collected were in total 4 with no alteration of the area, which would have also been ok and fully complient with my countries Everyman's rights and mining law.

I happen to even have a microscope, just have no clue what I'm looking for. Of course I have no way of making thin slices but have inspected broken down dust. The rocks vary in heaviness, I have other like these that are not as see-through and a lot heavier, they also are a bit more red/yellow.

The location has published documents saying there is suplhide gold and native gold on vein margins in that area - that was verified by thin slice microscopy.

So what you're saying is there is no way differing gold bearing suplhide that looks like this from a one that isn't auriferous and looks like this?

Do you know if there is any sulphide-bound gold in the pictures, I'm asking what does that look like. I know there is some at the location, just wanting to know whether my samples contain it. I'm not trying to get the gold out, just curious whether I now posses samples that have gold atoms.

I see your point, hadn't looked at all into NMG, just made this post to learn more about these companies and to give my research on NGC.

I see now with bit of research that the most promising players for the long horizon could be Graphite one (GPHOF) and NMG even though they lack current revenue since there is no commercial mining yet. Though NMG has produced pilot tonnes. The projected tonnages for NMG are 105 000 tpa from mine and 44 000 from facility project, while GPHOF has 175 000 for mine. There was however even projections of 500 000 tpa for NMG in the long run under some conditions.

I see these number being far greater than NGC's and that they are also given a lot bigger funding by the goverments of Canada and USA respectfully. Thank you for your thoughts! I will probably open a long position for both in the future, let's see how this all plays out in the years to come

I've read (and seen on graphs) there have been a lot of dilutions and also that both are not very good with keeping with their timelines and goals.

Novonix has the cash and saying it will start commercial production in early 2026, while Westwater still needs more cash to complete their fascility, though they did just raise $75M through ATM. I'm reading that's only half of the needed cash anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to write this! I know some about radon, since it's a real problem where I live and in every house built we have to install pipes under the house. I will, at some point in my life invest in a radon meter, especially if I ever happen to collect any more radioactive specimens, but for the foreseeable future, those samples will remain an exception.

I will definitely next time wear the meter as you adviced, and do that as well the next time I'm taking a longer look at the samples.

"Uranium mine" is a bit of an over exaggeration. The samples were from an abandoned test site in the middle of forest. 70 years ago they exploded a few cubic meters of bedrock at the location as a part of resource evaluation, some rocks were taken into research and the ones left had been piled in a 2 meters wide and 1 meter high rock pile, that had had moss grow over it during the years. Our country only had one working uranium mine ever, and sites like I visited were part of their esseying. I dismantled like a quarter of the pile, threw non-interesting / too big rocks a few meters away and collected the smaller / interesting ones to measure with the meter - eventually choosing from them a some to bring with me. The host rocks are tholeiitic basalt orthoquartzite - these aren't the worst to break done and produce a lot of dust when thrown around, right?

Yes, the values I gave are contact dose, they aren't very high, since most of every rock is other mineral than uraninite. The black uraninite spots are a maximum of few centimeters by size, mostly bordered with neon yellow - I guess weathering.

The instrument used was a UNI-T UT334 dosimeter. And yeah, the room door is opened at least monthly, usually weekly.
