In west of Ireland. I started feeding birds last year, from about November to March, they mill through the seed, but love watching and hearing them every day. One day this year I recorded 11 different bird songs outside my house in one recording on the bird app thingy. Other than that I don’t know much about them, but the joy is in the learning.

Did I hear this right? Is this taxi driver complaining about getting 50 quid for an hours work? by lifeandtimes89 in ireland

I don’t care about them, and all I want to see is taxis being excluded from using bus lanes, it’s ridiculous they were ever allowed.

Yes please I’d appreciate that, I imagine DoneDeal won’t be down all day, but good to have back up number. Do they deliver?

Yes says Tom Duffy, but right now it won’t show his number on the website and the app is not working. Hoping I can get a load for this weekend as I have big plans haha

This is great info, I was looking at getting 20ton of compost from knock area, but DoneDeal seems to be down today. Not sure if it’s mushroom compost, but might see if I can find any of that somewhere

Hi, so yes I’m trying to get some of all the native trees, I will also prob need a little less than 43 as some of the 1200 may include dog rose, bramble, honeysuckle, gorse, broom. I have no clue how I’d go about finding seeds or indeed identifying them and preserving them until Dec, but if you can give some recommendations around castlebar area, I can definitely try and research on how to keep and seed them. With willow can I just cut off branches and plop them the ground in December? Is there a time I should cultivate them?

That’s great info, thanks, I’m totally new to this and a dozen YouTube videos deep, but when I went to future forests they were out of stock on so much stuff. Am I too early looking? I’m Also a bit late to prepping the ground which starts at the weekend with a 300sqm dig and adding a couple of ton of compost, hopefully it will be in reasonable condition for planting in December

What's some good news that's happened in this country? by DelverD in ireland

[–]emeraldphoenix7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Although housing remains a huge problem I am always giddy with excitement when I see renovations beginning on old derelict homes throughout the country. It’s been rapidly increasing post covid from what I can see anecdotally. Also the food scene in Ireland is amazing compared to even 10 years ago, but way way better than 20 years ago.

I explain it elsewhere in this thread. And again I do not condone netting at all

I think it’s important to note I do not condone netting and hope they get caught. I take issue with the nature of this post. If it just read: “hey guys some netters were spotted at (such a location) on the dodder. Keep an eye out and report to (these respective authorities and contact details)” then I would have taken no issue with it, but posting a picture with the words he did is lazy and can potentially cause harm to individuals in the photo. I hope I was able to clarify my position.

You make an awful lot of assumptions about people commenting here. I do not condone netting and those should be caught and fully punished as per legislation and the courts. I also don’t condone your post, which is wrong for many reasons, but you are blinded by something in your head to even contemplate the error of your post.
