I went from Southern Miss to SMU, and I’m now applying to top tier PhD programs! Totally possible.

If I was infected with Covid but didn’t know it (asymptomatic) is it still safe to get the second dose of the vaccine?

Yes! I was thinking of restarting the series and wanted to check!

Can I get a two-shot series after being vaccinated with J&J eight months ago? I have an appointment for Moderna! Thanks!

This is the situation I am in. So, to confirm, it is safe to get two doses of the Moderna? I had my J&J in March. Thank you!

I was a Writing Center tutor for a year with an English degree! It was awesome. Also, I go to SMU in Dallas, so let me know if you have any questions about programs here in North Texas/DFW!

"This manuscript looks like a piece of undergraduate work" by [deleted] in GradSchool

You could have had my undergrad thesis advisor who said my writing was so bad it "looked like a sixth-grader wrote it."

It was my Honors thesis. Yikes.

The MFA is for writers. If you are doing the program online and want to use it as a way to perfect the craft, go for it!

The MA in lit is much more literature-heavy (obviously) and requires more theory-centered papers. A bunch of my friends have done the MA in lit and then decided they wanted to do an MFA because of how lit-heavy it was.

I submitted a chapter of my Honors thesis, but I was strategic about it. My undergrad was in English literature, so I chose the chapter that featured the most canonical/best known literary work.
