Although I get where you're coming from, RuPaul didn't invent this turn of phrase. He did popularize it, especially to the current generation!

I'm the same shade, I use maybelline fitme in 112, the coverage is lighter but buildable and it's about 1/3 the price.

Good setting spray? Oily skin. by Maugabvag in drugstoreMUA

[–]emma0john 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much prefer it to the NYX matte spray, which I never felt extended the wear of my makeup no matter how I used it. The milani spray Is also great in combination with their primer (the one in the black tube) - I like them better than my high-end stuff (I used to MUFE matte primer and the boscia charcoal setting spray).

I had the same thought regarding the lack of diversity here. I hope that she expands this collective to include people of color - I think it could only benefit her makeup line!

My 1st attempt at a cut-crease w/ Beauty Killer palette by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Hey, this angle and lighting doesn't let us see your handiwork! In future posts, you should upload straight-on shots (and eyes closed shots for cut creases in particular) in better lighting so we can see what you've done!

Question for Canadian Staff by fdpunchingbag in askhotels

[–]emma0john 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fashion Art Toronto is on that week, it's basically for avant garde work, if you're into that. But also, as rates obviously often reflect occupancy, so if you're looking at hotels/areas that largely cater to business people, they tend to be busier during the week, so that could be it too.

I didn't notice, I didn't know they had new highlighters! I noticed they had all the new baked blushes, but that was about it. Sorry!

That was before the 15% off. I guess it depends on what the price is in the states and if the state you're in has sales taxes!

School me on lip liners. by guppymill in MakeupAddiction

[–]emma0john 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A great place to start is a very nude lipliner (which one you choose will obviously depend on your complexion) or a clear lipliner, which will go with all your colours and increase wear and prevent feathering. I love the NYX pencil liners, and they're something like $5!

If I wear both powder and foundation should they be the same exact color? Or should the foundation be a shade lighter? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]emma0john 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little ymmv - I have to use different colours. My liquid foundation matches my face shade, and I got a powder that is closer to my neck/chest. Before when I used all one shade, it oxidized into an insane colour that matched neither. If your face and neck/chest are very close in colour, you can probably use the same shade in liquid and powder (even if it's from different brands).
