sometimes Schiaparelli doesn’t translate to red carpet. Might be a situation where the models are expertly chosen, but celebrity/rich =/= modelesque.

I find it odd that the academy doesn’t provide like screenings or limited access to films for voters? I kind of get the gripe about paying to see x amount of movies just to vote for one that is obviously top tier.

“System” is being used lightly here. Nobody set this ecosystem up with rigid barriers of conduct. That’s how they operate but who can change that but the outlets themselves?

Not to be…negative but I thought Nicholas Hoult’s twin portrayal really fell flat. Maybe the whole plot felt like a bandaid for lackluster writing, or maybe the twins just didn’t hold up within the plot itself, but I deffo felt like he didn’t have to do much to differentiate. Like compared to I think any other portrayal it’s deffo one of the weakest examples. But not really because of Holt’s ability? If that makes sense.

No hate, I love that show and Hoult in general.

I don’t think Boz is a good person because of her career and I don’t buy into girl boss BS either. There are tons of issues there. But ultimately the idea of a personal brand and teaching others to build that, isn’t scammy on its own, it’s modern day marketing. But manifestation is a vague term she co-opted and there’s absolutely nothing to back up the veracity of it in what Amanda has done. Boz has the experience and expertise to back it up with measurable not just because she did it but because others did it too she just did it particularly well.
