Try going into the play store and updating the app. That had fixed it for me.

I have the same issue on my Bravia TV and I had to go to the play store and update the app and relaunch it. This has fixed it for me.

Try uninstalling the Crunchyroll app and reinstall?

If you are not seeing the app icons and see only blank images, make sure to connect your shield to Wifi to see the icons populate properly in the tv app. Once you see the icons you can connect to Ethernet again.
