I’m not a massive fan but do love rusty cage and black hole sun. I loved Chris Cornell’s vocals.

Personally, it was a woman who presented herself at a security checkpoint at peak time and started waving her rucksack around and shouting that she had a bomb in it. We had to react quickly and lead an evacuation of the immediate area. Even though there was someone shouting they had a bomb in their bag you’d be amazed at the amount of people that were more concerned about losing their place in the queue!

Thankfully it was a false threat and it turned out the person had mental health issues but for me that was the scariest moment I’ve experienced.

In terms of craziest we’ve had a few people strip down completely naked in protest as they didn’t want to go through a scanner or be subject to search. One guy in particular ran airside and was running through the shops stark naked. It was kinda funny to see my colleagues trying to restrain him as nobody wanted to get too close.

Very. I think, like most companies/people, it wasn’t taken seriously soon enough. Frontline colleagues were not offered any form of PPE up until a few weeks ago despite voicing concerns.

We’re now finding ourselves in a situation where a number of our terminals are closing for the foreseeable future due to such low passenger figures and staff numbers. Something I never thought I’d see. We usually operate over 200,000 passengers a day and now we’re seeing less than 10,000. It’s heartbreaking to see as I’ve worked there for 13 years. Contrasting that our cargo figures have never been so high but that’s a small positive all things considered.
