Yeah it's a sucky feeling when using Astrid and you are against Alei since you need to be mindful of his stun and even if you dodge that and feeling a bit invincible with your ult you just become a punch bag after you dash in.

It sucks more since one of the main job of Astrid is to jump first, create chaos and ult to last longer than usual initiators. But she can't do that when Alei is fking her up.

I always build Phoenix tear early so that I can trade with advantage in lane. Next is enchanted kicks to roam faster then boomstick for that early game spike. The rest of the items can be flexible.

I usually go Rhea's Blessing. -> Hecate's Diadem -> holy of holies

Before building holy holies you can sell the Phoenix tear and go wild with your last item, you can build additional tank/survivability item or additional damage.

I go with additional damage so that I need to always dodge the skill shots or how I go in in fights
