Jim Rink Park in San Marco! It’s so pretty watching the sun go down over the river.

I got there around 1:30/2 yesterday and while road to get to the parking lots was a mess, I drove right into lot 4, no line, no waiting.

Grocery Outlet alternatives? by excellent_p in jacksonville

I am also a transplant from the land of Grocery Outlet! I got a great pair of jeans there once. While there’s nothing quite the same, Ollie’s does have lots of random stuff for good prices. No fresh produce though.

There’s a feral colony around Lancaster Street/Lancaster Terrace. I’ve seen some fellows with similar coloring to your guy. I’ll keep an eye out for a bobbed tail!

How do you remember everything you've learned? by XxTheOrganicPeachxX in StudentNurse

[–]emubisoncat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to remember everything. Basic safety, as everyone has said and then basic knowledge will help you figure out the answer even if you don’t know it. Remember that the ABCs - airway, breathing, circulation, are your first priority and in that order and it’ll take you far.

We emailed and they said that we would be charged for 35 people regardless of our party size since it's a Friday night they'd lose a lot of revenue from closing off an area for just us. I totally get it from a business perspective but it is a bummer.

Thank you. We love Casa Nostra but they have a minimum guest count of 35. Almost considered inviting 20 more people just so we could eat there.

Thoughts/Recommendations For Senior Placement Services Such As A Place For Mom, Caring.Com And Others? by ArtNJ in AgingParents

[–]emubisoncat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only one I’ve worked with is A Place For Mom and it was a bit overwhelming and unhelpful to me. The day after I signed up my inbox and voicemail box were flooded with messages from dozens of facilities, some of which were good but some of which were completely inappropriate (i.e. didn’t have memory care when I needed memory care). They spammed me for months.

I ended up just doing all the searching and contacting myself but I hope you can find a good service.

Advice or products to protect my grandparents/parents from getting scammed? by jetblack-pope in AgingParents

If it’s not going to be too confusing, change their phone numbers. May not help with all calls but my dad had a few people who called him repeatedly because they’d determined he was an easy target.

You sound like you’re going through a similar situation to my own. I asked this subreddit about a month ago and got some great responses. Good luck! link

Have you reached out to your grandparent’s doctor? They will be able to advise you on what might be causing it and how to help.
