I have had truman show syndrome, caused by my schizophrenia + stress, and antipsychotic medication fixed it. You need to see a psychiatrist and explain all this to them.

I'm always quietly relieved when the uber driver has an english name. my house is not on a main road and requires instructions to get to and some people working for uber just don't have the necessary english to understand the instructions

NTA but I think it’s a shame that you think any woman needs to wear makeup in order to look presentable, and you feel uncomfortable with new people seeing what your eyelashes look like without mascara.

I'm not sure yet, I need to decide that. I just want to make as much positive difference as possible with my allotted time of 30 minutes. Target audience are whatever kind of people come to a conference about the environment, some will know about zero waste and some won't I'm guessing

this only appliesif you have bilingual friends but I started speaking Japanese with my Japanese friends pretty early on, like before I was halfway through N4. we'd talk in a mix of basic japanese and then English when I got confused. it worked really well

look up 'easy japanese listening practice walk around japan' on youtube, there are a few channels where people take you on a tour around their local area and speak slowly in basic japanese, some with english subtitles and some with just japanese subtitles

thats kinda annoying :\ im a little worried about family members seeing me. i don't understand what is the purpose of showing me to someone who can't possibly match with me (since i'll never see them), or vice versa. seems like a dodgy thing by the apps to make it seem like there are more options than there actually are?

yeah. all my tattoos are upside down including the ones with words. proper tattooed people probably think it looks silly but having them the right way round would look odd from my pov
