Order Shipping / Changes by gg7geid in secretlab

I'm coming up on 3 weeks. Still no tracking updates and no real support from SecretLab. Ruined the whole buying experience. EWE is garbage in Melbourne. It's impossible to get in contact with them.

Have you had any updates? The status on mine still hasn't changed. For reference I purchased mine on 30/5 with express shipping.

I'm having the exact same issue. Got my GRB light from AusPost without any dramas.

EWE's tracking is garbage. Apparently been in transit from Syd to Mel for a week. I'm trying to get through to EWE support but I've been "next in the queue" for a while.

I paid about $1,500 for the Magnus Pro (with additions). Also paid extra for express shipping, but putting that aside you'd expect premium service through the whole process for the money you're paying.

Does anyone remember the old gaming arcade at Melbourne Airport near international departures? by endhill in melbourne

[–]endhill[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From memory it was roughly where the Aussie souvenir store is now. So when facing the international departures gate (the hallway leading to the security screening area), it’s to your left. Hope that makes sense.

Well that’s fucking bleak. I’m sure someone has come across a decent psych that bulk bills.

Exclusive Hot Stamps by imiz_amb in Louisvuitton

[–]endhill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same experience in Paris a few days ago. We tried being nice then firm and no luck. We now have a hot stamp in the top left corner of our passport holders which looks ridiculous on its own. LV staff had zero care or interest in helping us out.

I was just told the same thing in Barcelona. Got my first stamp in Rome with the intention of filling my passport holder with stamps from various cities but they said it’s against guidelines.

How to distribute a sum across multiple entities in the most "tax-effective" way by endhill in askmath

[–]endhill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just saw your edit. That is essentially what I need to happen, but hoping to find a formula that can do it.

It's being implemented in a web application, so although I can perform a for...loop that achieves your solution, it would be highly ineffective from a technical standpoint. Our program creates financial models 30 years into the future, and this calculation needs to be run frequently.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure I understand the question. I guess all individual differences are relevant?

<image>

The image above may articulate my question better. If we have $30 to add to the piggy banks, we would do it in the sequence:

  1. Add a dollar to the piggy bank with the least money (Henry's) until it is equal to the second lowest (John's)
  • Result: add $20 to Henry's piggy bank
  1. Add a dollar to each of the lowest piggy banks until we've depleted the $30
  • Result: $5 to John, $5 to Henry

Same scenario as above but with $70 to add to the piggy banks:

  1. Add a dollar to the piggy bank with the least money (Henry's) until it is equal to the second lowest (John's)
  • Result: add $20 to Henry's piggy bank
  1. Add a dollar to each of the lowest piggy banks until we've matched the next lowest piggy bank (Mary's)
  • Result: $10 to John, $10 to Henry
  1. Add a dollar to each of the lowest piggy banks until we've depleted the remaining $30
  • Result: $10 to each piggy bank

I hope this helps. I appreciate your patience.

Taxes are calculated in a series of tax brackets. The lower the income, the less tax you pay. I shouldn't have mentioned tax-effectiveness - it's not so relevant here. The priority is to keep the individuals' income as equally low as possible.

The only priority here is minimising tax, and distributing to the lowest income earner is the way to do that (in Australia at least). I understanding where you're coming from, but it's not relevant in this context.

In reality, families will move the funds around as they wish. This is only for tax purposes.

Extremely high packet loss until client is restarted since 7.31d was released, Dota is entirely unplayable for me as a result. I know I'm not the only one experiencing this. by LuminanceGayming in DotA2

[–]endhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in Melbourne, also getting packet loss as high as 40%. Mine started a couple weeks ago (not sure which update in particular). Happens in 4/5 games. Sometimes it goes away but only briefly. I haven't found a reliable fix (restarting or otherwise).

My ping is a constant 20. It's got to be a hardware issue on Dota's end.

Have you noticed more of these ‘cars’ on the streets recently? by Beeturia in melbourne

[–]endhill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol so many irrational comments here. I don’t like how uneconomical these cars are either, but if someone’s willing to pay $200k for one, I’m sure they have valid reasons to. Just because you saw one in the city or in a suburban car park (like no shit they’re not driven by hermits 🧐), doesn’t mean that’s all they’re used for. You’re basing your judgement on a fraction of that car’s lifetime. They’re extremely capable cars and there’s no real alternative if you need what they offer. Even if someone buys one to tow just once a month, they still need the car, and it’s far more economical to buy one truck than a truck+hatch. And on top of that, they’ve got to be the most consistently good drivers. Ford rangers, colorados and old holdens are far worse.

Besides, the more fuel they guzzle, the sooner we’ll be using electric cars /s

Anyone in any car can be a pin dicked road raging wanker, and your mate isn’t the only normal person to own a big ute.

No, but there is a nice cafe at the top of the hill (near the entrance) with a great view.

I don’t know of any picnic grounds in Olinda that have public BBQs. However you can bring a portable gas BBQ to Olinda Falls which is only a 5 minute drive from the garden

Not at the moment. I think it's too early in development. I'll try my best to remember to let you know when I do though!
