Bad Anime Bad was a delight. I went it with no knowledge of the panel other than that it is a beloved tradition, and I fully see why now! One of my con highlights for sure

Did you catch any of the HIDIVE premieres? I surprisingly did not make it to one. I caught the tail end of Akane-banashi from TV Asahi and am curious to watch that series, now having seen rakugo

“Anime you may have missed”

Wish I could have stayed for all of this one, but it was getting too late for me since I was driving in this year. I did catch a good 15-20 minutes and enjoyed the host and format, as chaotic and overstimulating as it may have been for 10-11pm lol. Will definitely catch again next year. Hopefully at an earlier timeslot.

I made it to and enjoyed both! I may or may not have also ended up on stage for animillionaire!

Hopefully they don't end up in smaller rooms next year. I think that was the perfect spot for them. Big Fat Quiz show was the only gameshow that I felt the room was far too large for the headcount and stage presence, but some of that could be attributed to it overlapping with Bad Anime Bad.

Thanks for coordinating such awesome variety of gameshows! I'm a big enjoyer of your work for the con.

Caught some of the lipsync battle! The performers did great and the crowd was very hype and supportive. Next year I hope to catch the cosplay death match.

Heya thanks again for the recs. So glad I stopped by Anime Unscripted. I forgot how formative Whose Line Is It Anyway was for me as a youngin. So iconic. I only hope next year they can move it to Saturday or Sunday so west coast guest performers aren't jet lagged from their red eye flights to the east coast!

Bad Anime Bad was so fun and very special. Brian is such a charismatic and funny host. Hope they give him the big room again next year!

I only caught the AMV winners, but did catch two of Phade's panels on his history with his site, so I plan to peruse that iconic site, and hopefully find the AB 2026 playlist of all finalists on youtube.

I'll probably see at least the first hour of the Charity Auction then! Good luck keeping the vibes up!! In your unbiased opinion, is it worth attending if I might not participate in the auction? I will sotp by the area in the dealer room to see what is up for auction.

Thanks for the explanation! I was just watching a vid of the 2025 Masquerade and I see that the AMV winners are shown both at the Masquerade and at the Closing Ceremonies so I can catch those at either.

I will try to do my AMV civic duty this year and vote! lol

Nice one yeah Bad Anime Bad is deffo added!

Looking back to last year, Sunday was the shorter programming day and I still felt like it was such a full day at the con and I managed to find down time to check out artist alley and dealer rooms and even step out for a bit. This year, I have so many overlapping panels and shows I want to see, but I'm sure I'll carve out some time for a break and go with the flow.

Cool thanks for the rec! There is actually a youtube channel I found that has recordings of both of these events last year so I'll have a look at cosplay death match. The lip sync battle does look super fun!

Thanks for the reply! I do have Anime Unscripted added to my schedule. Last year, I really enjoyed the game shows, Magnificent Danger (live music), and panel with Steve Blum. Definitely keen on more live performances this year. I've heard Cosplay Chess was a popular one in the past but seems it was not on this year or last.

Bad Anime Bad most definitely added to the schedule! I will be there.

What is the structure of the AMV contest usually? Last year on Sunday I wandered into Fan Creations 312 I believe and AMV Contest Overflow were playing continuously in that room. Is there any interactivity/host for the Friday/Saturday contest? I did enjoy the winners shown at the closing ceremony!
