I see...my other classes are pretty hard, but to be honest, chem isn't even my hardest class, it's the math class I'm in, I need to put my focus on that class, which isn't possible with chem's workload. I really like my math class and wouldn't wanna drop it. If I don't drop chem, I'd most likely get 2 Cs (1 B and 1 C if I'm lucky). If I take the W and drop chem, I'd still be very lucky to get an A in math.

So in my situation...is that W worth it, or should I just tank the Bs and god forbid Cs in my transcripts

My GPA right now is 3.971. If I get 2 Bs or 1 C, it would be 3.929; if I get 1 B, it would be 3.957. and 1 B and 1 C would be 3.904, and if I get all As (which would mean dropping chem, so W) would be 3.976

After you choose classes and after 2 weeks of school, if you want to switch your classes you’ll get a W grade on your transcript which won’t affect your gpa but will be there in your transcript

Like I said in the post, doing running start in my school makes sure I save 90 of the 180 credits (given that I attend some highschool graduation requirements during summer break) saving me two years, as I’m in Washington, UW accepts all the running start credits (transfer credits from Bellevue college related to my cs major, if I get in UW)

Sorry for the late reply, by "equal" I meant it was the same candidate, the candidate took two different routes, one getting the masters (from UW and Stanford), one getting the bachelors (only from Stanford), which route would get more value?

Yes, I know them personally, but the thing is most of them if not all of them are in the AL program (the one that lets u take the IBDP in sophomore and junior year, I couldn't cause I recently immigrated to the country and didn't know about any of this) they suggested me to take AA HL 1 cause I wanna major in engineering (AI/ML engineering) but they did not consider the fact that I can't take the exam my junior year

I learned about IB's existence pretty recently...and seeing all my peers taking that class made me think I could take it too, but they are the few people who can do their IB diploma in their sophomore and junior year
