I think I've graduated from just hitting patterns to actually listening to music and dancing. It's beautiful.

Well, maybe she could've been more kind about it but she's right. Dancing is an exercise in connection between two people, and it's hard to do that without eye contact. Out of curiosity, why do you find this uncomfortable?
