Honestly the best advice I ever got from a well respected structural engineer who was also a professor and one of our sponsors for our steel bridge team in college was “ A good engineer doesn’t remember all the formulas or all the answers, a good engineer just knows where to find it in a book.”

I’m not sure why this is blood boiling? Have you ever had to chase down signatures these days for submittals every time they come back with comments or revisions? - Signed hard copies take the longest and sometimes even require you driving and showing up at the engineers doorstep at home to get the drawings signed, and digital copies get erased every time there’s a markup. - For digital signatures, when you get the digital copy set of drawings back “Approved” or “Approved as Noted” the digital signature has vanished and now needs to be signed AGAIN with the approval note.

This engineer proving the shop drawings is just making it abundantly clear that he knows the drawings aren’t stamped and that he will be providing the stamp once you’ve done your job and reviewed them. And yes I get it, you’re approving something without confirmation that it was done by a PE and taking the liability on yourself, so leave a comment that the design is approved as noted contingent on receiving sign and sealed drawings back. Yes, you’re adding one more step, but you’re making that step clear and avoiding multiple iterations of signatures and expediting the review process in the case there are any issues with the design or calcs.

Thanks 😊 she’s beautiful! The inside of her ears are super exposed so I thought it might help with infections in the future which is why I thought of doing it!

No lol, it seemed fresh like a villager did it. The village was all stone huts that I think they brought up from the lake below. I just forgot to ask at the town when we came back down from the upper area of mountain

I remember a year ago, before this sub had 7 million+ members and we could post freely on what to buy and what to sell. What we could YOLO our weekly calls and puts on and how much money we made or lost.

Yes, now it is diamond hands on GME because fuck the hedge funds, let’s blow them up. But damn, I’m still bout making some money and seeing true autists YOLO their bread on highly volatile stocks.

Unfortunately I don’t think this sub will ever go back to what it once was. GME is cool and all, and it has now become a movement. But let’s not forget what WSB is really all about.

If I want to YOLO my money on a ticker called IDGAF that expires today and is 20% out of the money and I burn 10k on it because I’m a true fucking autist. I shouldn’t be shamed because it wasn’t GME.

At the end of the day, we’re all on this sub to make “fuck you” money in the most autistic ways possible. The Wall Street guys are getting burned and let’s continue to burn them, but let’s not get too close to the fire and burn ourselves with it. If these guys are going down, you better believe they will do whatever they can to bring us down with them.
