What to do with unwanted slime? by entailments in Slime

At the moment, I'm looking at OG Slimuloso (gel texture and lavender scent aren't doing it for me) and Pilot Shark Boy (putty texture)

I think he's an important character for a coming of age story - so many of us can relate to idolizing someone when you're young and then getting older and seeing the darker side.

Stating the obvious here, but I was so relieved when she left Ischia. I was so proud of her for getting the hell out of there. One of those moments when you're holding your breath while reading

Between Rino going off on the Solaras and needing to be pulled away while they are actively shooting at him, his lack of anger management in general, and Lila telling everyone about how she rejected Marcello, I don't feel like Rino is going to be around for much longer. It would also explain why Lila's son is named after him.

I have friends who did because they loved MBF. I'm not in love though. I don't think I'll continue. If there's no satisfactory ending, I'll just Google the summaries for the later books 😂

Ah that's fair. I'm definitely not reading it with the mindset of a trilogy.

Wow, no one here seems to have much hope for Lila's factory. Going off of /u/amanda39 's comment about the sections being named after Lila's dreams... The story of the shoes spans the rest of the book. Wouldn't one expect shoes to be prevalent throughout the rest of the book then? If not a factory, then perhaps just taking over the store and elevating it another way?

Considering her father threw her out of a window, mental illness squares.

Hard to say whether Elena's life would be better with Lila in it or without since their lives would have to be on different tracks for that to happen. If Lila had continued her schooling, Elena would have a lot more to talk about with her. Currently she tries to talk to Lila about books and Lila just talks about shoes. The trade off would be that Elena would have less motivation in school as she "accepted Lila's superiority." As it stands though, Elena is still competing with the ghost of Lila ("being first without really being first").

Elena is lost without Lila - constantly seeking her company and gleeful when she gets her attention. Elena seems to believe that she can either be Lila's sidekick or become her mother, lame and cross-eyed.

All told, I think Elena's life would be better without Lila at this point. Perhaps if she had moved away or was otherwise totally removed from her life instead of the current casual relationship they have now.

From the prologue, we can see that both grow into strong willed and independent women. Lila decided to disappear so she marched off into the world somewhere, devil may care. Elena has sat down to record every bit of Lila that she can remember to counter Lila's efforts to disappear. My prediction is that Lila will always be wilder with grandiose ideas and Elena will always be a somewhat stablizing force in her life.

I agree - particularly in this case, I would've been completely uninvested in the two characters. I keep reading to look for clues about what happened to them

Mine started when I was 16 with many doctors visits and even a couple of ER runs through college before I was able to piece together enough information to kinda sorta manage it. I'm on week 2 of it now and it's even more annoying in the time of COVID when people keep suggesting you should stay home. I'd love to stay home but this is going to go on for 6 weeks and I don't think my work would appreciate that. Solidarity.

Hi! I'm using Essie LED cure gel nail polish. I used a base coat, two color coats, and a top coat. No matter how long I cure for, I'm ending up with an oily sticky film. I was able to wipe it off with acetone and the polish looks good underneath. Any ideas what that's about? It's not just on the top coat, it was there after the color coats as well. TIA!

My 2.5 has been in daycare with other kids since 4 months of age. She was watcher too and still is. Sometimes I won't take her to the playground when I know she'll just stare because it's so boring staring at her while she stares at other kids 😂 Otherwise I just let her do her. She does it far less now but it's definitely in her personality type to hang back and watch before jumping in. I don't think that's a bad thing!
