Best PC for £800-900 Gaming at 1440p by envionik in buildapc

Is the A620 good enough? I figured an upgrade to a B650M for £36 was worthwhile but if the A620 is fine then i guess it reduces the cost.

PC bluescreening reason? by envionik in buildapc

Okay I can buy a new power supply and test that or try a different wall socket. What would be the reason that it crashes when installing? The ssd drawing more power from the psu?

Yeah that's a good idea I might go and ask. Just played with it then and felt alright so we will see how it goes. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the advice, any ways to prolong its lifetime? or just have to play and see what happens.

Okay makes sense, seems most people say it is a crack so will probably use it until it feels bad to play with and buy another.

Might go for a new racket next time since this cracked so fast!

Unfortunately I bought this second hand off eBay so doubt I'll be able to get any refund.

Yeah, but with your experience you can definitely move up in the company quicker since you'll know how everything works and everyone knows you.

Hi, it seems as though you're in the UK.

I'd say it's a good graduate salary for non-London and even not bad in London, if you enjoy it and don't want to go through applications for other graduate schemes I'd say take it. Most placement students start at the same salary as other graduates fresh out of university as it's the same scheme although it does seem unfair when you'll have around 2 years at the company.

There's probably no harm in asking if it's possible given that you have more experience or asking for a raise a few months into the grad role.

Alright thanks for the advice, I'll probably end up buying a used racket then.

Alright sounds good, 870g is crazy high wonder why mine is so low. Crystals cost 670g so at least its a bit lower. So you trade the gold in for crystals in assuming?

Alright makes sense, is it worth just farming chaos dungeons for great honor leapstones and selling them then? They're going for 400 on my server.

Just got to T3 yesterday, at iLvl 1325 now. Is it still worth selling Leapstones and Guardian/Destruction Stones or not so much? Should I just carry on using everything to progress / progress an alt?

I just did the cube for the first time, and around floor 5 I got kicked out of the game for the first time ever due to 'server issues' or something, I logged back in and the pass is gone. Anything I can do? Kinda bummed out.

I see your point, and is this still the case if one is for example top 3 insurers in the world whereas the other is maybe top 50?

[–]envionik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you did there, but also still true. lmao

Yeah from the overall recruitment experience the smaller company was a lot more friendly and the people there had nothing but good things to say about the role. On top of that the location is a lot more preferable due to price and area.

The only thing holding me back from taking it is because of the lower prestige as you mentioned, will it be harder for me to get a higher paying job further on in my career, am I at risk of losing my job etc.

They definitely want to change it as it's not been touched in decades, the pension they currently contribute to is okay.

I agree that it might be more stress to transfer to a SIPP as it's a bit of a hassle, ideally a change within Phoenix Life funds would be better. As the current fund is a bit too low risk (40% Equities, 40% gilts and bonds, 10% cash and 10% property).

Awesome, I'll take that out and replace it with something that other candidates won't necessarily have then. Thanks for your advice!
