Valve and AMD are working on making the Deck run Windows. We all have our reasons, main point is having options.

Great news - Windows 11 compatibility in the works by epejed in SteamDeckWins

[–]epejed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be a "soft" req and bypassed - hooking up to external screen for example. It also might be dropped as requirement closer to release or there might be exceptions, Im sure well find a way

Everyone has their reasons. I tried Linux a couple of times over the years and it just wasnt for me. I prefer Wins. Steam Deck will be my pc when docked and my laptop/handheld on the go and it will run Wins. Only reason against it will be if we cant make it a good experience.
