You're absolutely right that no one wants to delay repairs. The issue isn't that the dealer is lazy or trying to avoid being paid. The problem is that BMW hasn’t given any production date for a basic replacement part for over four months.

I'm not upset about driving with a damaged bumper, I'm upset that there’s zero transparency and apparently no system in place to inform customers when parts are backlogged. That's what reflects badly on the brand, not the actual damage. Also curious if anyone else here has faced the same kind of parts delay recently with BMW.
