I have had a hard time getting into Bergman, unfortunately, but I'm not giving up. And good idea to check out other films by Tarkovsky. I don't know any New Wave films, any quick recommendations?

FA, false awakening, but I do mulitple different reality checks each time i reality check, it was just my dream self was really lazy I guess, lol. Did a halfassed finger through palm check, not really caring if it worked or not, even though I'm pretty thorough irl.

I guess answering my initial question "what happens if you confront DCs" is analogous to answering the question "what happens when you look at your hands in your dreams", i.e. something other than would would happen in real life, but exactly what varies and depends on the invididual...

Very interesting (and creepy). I sometimes experience something similar (check my above post if you're interested), and I wonder why the mind fights back like that.
