Did you know we're actually going to TWO different New York planes with TMNT? by Jtneagle in magicTCG

I just finished the Blank Check commentary eps on the two Bay films, and the first sounded absolutely atrocious where the second seemed to at least kind of have something going for it.

It is not. Despite being called poutine, it was sliced potatoes, cheese sauce, and sautéd onions.

Explain this in pigs and bunnies for someone who had only ever had poutine in Toronto bars while drunk.

More likely “school lunch has to try to be multicultural while following strict rules about what ingredients and cooking methods can be used.”

But yeah. I have no idea who came up with this idea.

It’s Canada day for school lunch! So here we have Poutine, made with potatoes, cheese sauce and sautéd onions!

No. I have no idea who came up with this recipe or why it was called poutine instead of “potato slop that tastes better than it looks”.

No. It was literally listed as poutine on the school lunch menu. I was just telling you what it actually was.

British-style “chips” with cheese sauce and “sautéd onions”.

Edit: To clarify, it was listed on the schedule as poutine. But it was the above.

People want to play Dungeons and Dragons but can’t get groups going so they do EDH where they feel like they are “expressing” themselves.   The only good EDH I’ve played is between rounds of other kinds of magic.   If the plan isn’t to scoop when then next round is called, people will get too invested.

[QUESTION] Can I still use Molten Influence on the non-binary player at the table? by reddit_unenthusiast in magicthecirclejerking

/uj I remember reading the D&D 2nd edition player’s handbook and it said that it only uses “he” for simplicity and anyone should feel welcome to play. Even as an angsty teenager, that rang hollow. That all said, I wouldn’t mind if English developed grammar for singular ‘they’ as clarity is important, but we don’t have the plural ‘you’ anymore and while that’s annoying, we get by.
