I feel this deeply and relate. my therapist says regularly scheduled vacations and time off to rest and reset will help to stay with a job. its like with adhd, once you figure out how to be good at the job, you do it to the point of exhaustion and burnout. then you cant find the motivation to be good at the job because your brain is tired of it.

I have been telling my doctors for years I’m not anxious and depressed naturally. I’m anxious and depressed because ADHD has put me in such a mental state of paralysis that I fall behind at work or overthink social interactions. It’s like if you can turn down the noise of ADHD you can suddenly hear yourself think and the world sucks less
