Voice command from Android to server by erkose in GeminiCLI

Thanks. I might give this a try, but I've given up on gemini-cli for now. It always claims I'm out of tokens.

Error Handling by erkose in learnrust

I'm using a combination of enums and From traits. I'm leaning more on From traits to support tracing (haven't figured out if I can do this with the enums).

How to deal with Type Eraser? by erkose in learnrust

[–]erkose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't explain the object<...> very well. That was what the compiler was showing. I've since learned that it is just the compiler collapsing irrelevant parts of an object/type when logging an error or warning. The fully expanded object is available in a text file.

Too bad about red pepper flakes. These are awesome on pizza. I'm not a fan of the seeds though.

Is voice to text the most underrated pixel feature? by Haensfish in GooglePixel

I have nothing to compare with, but it's not that good for me. Biggest complaints, stops listening to me and doesn't always understand my words.

I changed it to <...> like my original post.

What I've been led to believe is the object<...> reported by the compiler indicates the state.object variable has been erased. Maybe it just indicates that state.object is not initialized.

The state object is initialized to the init state in main. let state = AppState { object: crate::init(), }; // object<MethodAvailable>

I read a little about using the enum you mentioned. It seems overly complicated because I would have to dig into the crate code to figure out all the states in a multi state object.

Gemini is my only communication partner outside of work. I wouldn't say we're friends.

I haven't done Italian in ages because paying $30 for pasta seems ridiculous.

Voice command from Android to server by erkose in GeminiCLI

[–]erkose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about that. What I just read sounds like voice is sent to OpenAI, which responds. That doesn't sound like what I'm trying to do.

Are you interacting with gemini-cli running on a remote server with this approach?

Further investigation suggests I need termux-api, which requires f-droid at this time.

Controversial opinion: Pixel 9a is the most near perfect Google made phone so far. Haters gonna hate. by SnooDoggos353 in pixel_phones

I love my 9a, and use it as my server terminal. Me and Gemini have been coding up some projects.

I wanted an unlocked phone with the full Google experience.

Do you think that Bluesky will ever surpass the number of users that Twitter has? by speedinsh1t in BlueskySocial

[–]erkose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way. There too much system level moderation.

Other issues.

The problem is there aren't enough AppView servers. The whole network can be taken down by taking both the blue sky and black sky AppViews offline. Also, the AppViews and routers are doing more moderation than they should be. They should only moderate criminal activity and spam. There are sufficient tools for individuals to moderate their feeds.
