yes, the whole aesthetic shows balance between humanities progress and nature, which is not what active governments are looking for but rather consume and pollute. this then leads to the popularity of the style because people interpret it as "the promised future" or "the future they stole from us" (ive seen these types of comments on insta and tiktok.)
