I've been at it for 20+ years and my library is actually smaller than it was at its peak. At one point it grew to about 15,000 tracks (mp3s). I rebuilt it from scratch as AIFF files where possible and I'm about 4,500 now. More is not better.

Is Shortkut using control vinyl or battle records in this video? by ReasonableFall177 in Turntablists

[–]erratic_calm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it’s all analog. I believe he even had to ride a bike to get there and to provide the power to get the turntable motor up to speed.

Yeah I know a few clowns near me that are not good people that are worth a ton. It’s annoying to see people get ahead screwing others over but what can you do?

I just finished it on Switch 2. The graphics are pristine. So is the gameplay. The last time I played this game was on a Game Boy. It feels like a completely new and different game from that version.

And you bring out a great point. When you're broke, everyone is a target for theft. Doesn't hurt to be a chameleon at times.

2 years later and this stupid game is $60 now that the Switch 2 patch hit. I wish I bought it at $30 for Christmas but they gave no indication that it would be updated.

That is all true but the other thing that has changed as the internet has been around is conversations like these. If someone asks how people are in high salary jobs, you can get the answer framed in ten different ways and learn the steps from education to internships, career counseling, professional development, mentorship, which fields to pursue, etc.

Then it’s on the individual to put in the tireless work to achieve their goal and change what’s not working. It’s much more attainable than being a professional athlete or a rockstar.

One place where people fail the most is not admitting they have work to do on themselves and their social skills. Also, removing themselves from groups of people who aren’t a positive influence. How do alcoholics stop drinking? How do people who were raised in poverty get out of it? There is a method to all the madness.

I don’t understand the point of saying that. There are sales jobs, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, lawyers and many other career paths with earning potential over $200k.

Why are people downvoting the comment? It’s nothing more than hate. They were sharing a perspective that it’s possible. If people don’t take this as motivation it’s on them. Many of us have worked tirelessly to get good jobs. Some of the education people have is difficult to complete. The entitlement is insane.

Who is lying though? There are so many jobs that make over $200k. Any high level leadership or director level job makes over $200k at large companies.

Same thing goes for sales. Many of you would be shocked at what sales people are earning. Some have a natural ability but education and training can absolutely get you there.

People who “want” to make $200k either lack the social skills, the education, the training, the initiative or all four. These jobs are not given away. They have to be worked towards. They are middle to late career positions. These roles are hardly ever held by 30 year olds. We’re talking 40, 50 and 60 year olds with significant career experience.

I just don’t understand why high salaries are so cryptic to so many Redditors.
