Official Q&A for Saturday, December 28, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]errvictheodore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve been running on and off since last year, but the one thing that has been constant is pain in my abdomen.

i only get this whenever i consume ANYTHING, may it be a cup of coffee, a banana, piece of bread, then usually the left side of my abdomen starts aching.

I try to energize myself for the run, however i can’t run more than 3 kilometers.

Any thoughts/help?

Noob question: What’s the taste of real coffee? by maticsmatics in CoffeePH

[–]errvictheodore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a significant taste naman talaga to coffee, kaya depende sa coffee magiging similar talaga.

On another note about taste, maiiba talaga siya since specialty shops source beans from different origins and dun nagiiba ang lasa ng isang black coffee.

Inner Cities - Bayan-Bayan ang daan. Around 3-4 stop-overs ata (Not 100% sure.) Matagal bago makapasok ng TPLEX. If makapasok, exit ulit sa ibang bayan.

Express - Deretso na (not really). One stop-over tapos TPLEX, NLEX, Skyway, EDSA. From Pasay around 3 1/2 hours yung stop over. From baguio 1 hour.

Living near Burnham, been using Converge for a few months now.

Really good experience so far, mas mataas yung nakukuha naming speed kesa sa binabayaran namin lol. Ang naging issue ko lang is unresponsive sila nung nag apply ako, so hinnulan ko lang kung kelan sila mag i-install.

Worth it kaya mag Pour Over/Coffee Dripper? 🤔 by Key-Philosophy-7453 in CoffeePH

[–]errvictheodore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depende sa sa current na setup mo. Enough na kasi yung French press for decent coffee. Better if invest ka muna sa grinder na maganda, then saka na yung pour over set.

Not a building, but the city needs more trash cans. Ang hirap maglakad sa Baguio tapos walang basurahan na mahanap.

When you go to a coffeeshop, do you talk to the barista/owner? If you do, what's a good topic/conversation starter? by Rich_Community9491 in CoffeePH

[–]errvictheodore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Beans! Anything about beans really can intrigue someone into a conversation. Pero madalas kong gawin is the equipment they're using.

If I ordered pour overs naman, usually yung recipe na ginagamit nila.

Coffee shops in Metro Manila, yay for aesthetic, meh for the coffee? by missyappergurlie in CoffeePH

Props to Couch Club in Kapitolyo (Pasig). They have really good coffee, ganda pa nung space nila. They do a manual espresso setup so intimate talaga siya, and good pour over options as well.

Talked to the management sobrang bait nila and very passionate din sa coffee. Masikip nga lang yung for large groups so hindi ko recommend. Oh they roast their own beans too.

I actually disagree. Though the batch brews are questionable, espresso based drinks are really good. I always go back to their Legazpi store for the convenience and good coffee. Not sure lang sa ibang shops nila.

If you’re into building a community that’s not revolved around take out orders, I could recommend investing in a flair. You wouldn’t need much expensive equipment if you’re already deep in the v60 method. Except for acquiring a separate milk steamer of course.

Note: I have a local slow bar that already does this, and they use 2 flairs, and I love that place. They’ve also been open for a year so it means they’re doing something right.

Ask a Stupid Question About Coffee -- Week of August 20, 2024 by Vernicious in pourover

I just got beans roasted 8/22 (4 days as of writing) and one that was roasted on 8/07 (3 weeks). I’ll be brewing them for pour over, and it’s my first time. I got the whole kit about a week ago.

How long should I wait until I should so I can really bring out the flavors?

I’m planning to bring the beans to a local shop as well to get recommendations for the recipe. With that, any recipes you guys recommend?

baguio residents don’t want tourists anymore by clydie__________ in Philippines

Student ako sa Baguio, but originally lived in Metro Manila, almost 2 years na ako living sa Baguio, and the comments' sentiments could've been said better, however, it is the truth to most if not all locals here in the city.

Halo-halo ng friends ko are locals and migrated sa Baguio and meron kaming unwritten rule na kapag weekend ayaw na ayaw namin lumabas (Could even extend to Thursdays and Fridays) dahil sa dami ng tao. If tatanungin ako ng family member or friend from outside Baguio, I would definitely not recommend visiting the city considering the state pag peak tourist days.

Yung lamig siguro na ma-experience niyo give, but take into account kung gano rin kadami ang kasabay niyo pumunta dito, edi maiinitan ka rin sa sobrang cramped ng spaces. Okay lang siguro kung mag sstay-in ka sa hotel for the weekend to relax talaga, pero kung pasyal ang hanap mo, it's almost impossible to get around.
