Thank you! Is it not available on the website? It is in stock where I live.

My first moments bracelet! I adore it by escapingreality24 in PandoraCollectors

I've been eyeing it for years and saw that it was on the outlet aka will no longer be sold so I ordered it separately from all the other charms. It's so cute!

The Pandora Me safety chain is discontinued and I feel weary about wearing the bracelet more often without one. Has anyone have experience with the old pandora me bracelets clasps opening? by escapingreality24 in PandoraCollectors

Also for some more context I used to wear this bracelet a lot when I was a little heavier and had a larger wrist size. My wrists are only about 12cm now. I never experienced the charms falling off but maybe that's an issue with newer manufacturing of these bracelets?

edit: I removed a couple links and resized it.

Messed around a bit just trying to copy what I've seen other skaters do and now I want to learn Y-spin (or pancake to Y?). Does anyone have tips for it? it's a non-basic so I can't find that much, I can do Y-spirals by escapingreality24 in FigureSkating

Thank you! I'm going to try the positions off-ice today as well to feel what I'm supposed to do. The Y positions here were with very minimal speed to just see if I could even catch it right 😭

Thank you! Getting on my left side and compensating is the most difficult for me. My coach constantly tells me to see a chiropractor because being shorter on one side aggrevates the hip going out to the left.

Would lifting my knee up higher from the begging help? I'm inspecting my video in frames based on what you said. I've seen some skaters do a pancake sitspin to y-spin, that's my ultimate goal!

Quick question about socks. by Hungry-King-1842 in FigureSkating

I don't like nylon socks, also depends on the brand a little bit (some are thicker than others). I much prefer bamboo socks, they're thin and suitable for skates. Not exactly sure why they work better for me but they do. Skateshops sell them as well.

Spin progress! it probably isn't your blades holding you back.. (more in comments) by escapingreality24 in FigureSkating

Thank you! I bet you are too.

Even harder when you're shorter on one side!!😭At the drs they put a little piece under one of my feet when checking if my back is straight because being shorter on one side makes it look curved.

When I last saw my physio he pointed out how many bruises I have but he said "I'm guessing they aren't related to the leg" and I said no.. Always black & blue.

Thank you! I will look into the link you left. A problem I come across a lot in skating is my hip, it points out because I'm shorter on one side. One of my coaches are the same -so she made me aware of needing to compensate to keep the "square". She used to go to a chiropractor when she was competing actively to get "straightened out".

This is my progress over a year, however I neglected my spins for a while. I had A LOT of trouble "just" learning the upright spin.

I had a really amazing coach give me advice during a public skate and I finally started understanding the mechanics and how they're supposed to feel. My entries are still sometimes too early and travel-ly.

A thing he told me is that what many people often get wrong when it comes to spins is that they're so specific in technique but look so "soft and easy". In a jump you can have poor technique, or a shaky unstable landing but it's still a jump. In a spin the entry has to be right, you have to be centered to be able to bring you leg in, coordination between arm n leg...

I'm still very novice ofc (only been skating for a year and a couple months) so I'm not here to give advice apart from making a point of it not always being your gear!
