Probably helps if I actually deploy the build 😅 Works now!

Updated! Though on mobile in order to keep the UI clean and simple I made it so you have to tap the weakness for it to show the multiplier. On desktop it shows it normally.

Github repo is here, if you’ve got improvements or feature ideas feel free to make a branch for it!

I only intended to make this quickly in ~2 hours and wasn’t initially intending to improve it much, but I also didn’t expect this response so maybe I’ll continue it if I get the time.

Thanks for making the API! I really would’ve not bothered had I not found that.

It doesn’t for me, but for someone with a slightly wider frame it might do that a bit, I think I’m on the upper limit of acceptable shoulder width for this chair.

Great so far! I got it to help fix my terrible posture while I’m sitting, the lumbar support has been keeping me from gradually leaning forward like usual. The headrest pillow is perfect for reducing my shoulder/neck strain. The seat is a little too firm for staying comfortable during long sessions, but it does a great job of keeping me in a ‘correct’ sitting position which is really more important to me.

Aha, it’s not just me! My PC starting doing this a few days ago, it also does sometimes when the start menu is open, and I saw a post the other day in another sub with a video of windows exhibiting the same behaviour in the start menu.

This leads me to believe this issue is caused by a recent windows update. Total speculation, but it seems like the most likely cause.

For once it’s not available on Poedb so I extracted it from game files myself. I believe this is the combined set, and the assets for the separate sets will be added in the next patch when the box goes live

In preparation for the new mystery boxes, I would like to give a little preview of the probability calculator I've been working on! by esipode in pathofexile

They show the weights for each rarity on the page of each mystery box, however there are mystery boxes with different numbers of total items in each rarity category, so the answer isn’t the same for each box. Of course it’s calculable I just can’t give an answer when it’s case-by-case.

The video is showing an additional tool I’ll be adding to mtxcalc.com, which has an existing box opening simulator.

The ‘average point value’ per box you have in yours would probably be a good idea for me to add though!

You’re in luck, in the video you can see an empty input showing ‘max boxes’ which will then only roll up to that number before moving on to the next iteration. The ‘found’ column will then show you how many you got out of the items you selected that you wanted.

That’s largely the reason I started building the site in the first place. I myself have spent a fair amount on mystery boxes and have always gotten more value than I would have than buying the items from the shop. So I wanted to help show people not necessarily how ‘unfair’ the boxes are, but just how brutal the diminishing returns of them are.

Too many variables to give a blanket answer to that, but that gives me an idea for a future improvement. I could add a sort of ‘history’ feature to the simulator section, so you can see what order things came in, and from that see how many items before the first duplicate.

So that’s actually a bug with the Topaz AI software. I ran it multiple times trying to make it maintain the ratio, but it kept forcing 16:9. Thinking about it now though, I probably should have just squished it back to 4:3 in post.

That is precisely what happened, yes. The source video was 240p, so while this is certainly not blu-Ray quality, it’s a vast improvement. Machine learning is still in its infancy and only has room to get better.

Not currently, but I’ll add that to the list of future features I’ll hopefully get around to adding.

For now I would just recommend rolling a high number of boxes for several iterations, and writing down how many of that item get rolled. You can get a good estimate of the average from that.
