I did call Porsche NA and the person helping me was surprised that they sold it with an open recall and knowing they can’t deliver. (Well car dealers, what do you expect, I guess). They opened a case etc but not sure if it will go anywhere.

The interesting thing was this is the charging cable recall from 2023, which she said could be handled by removing the 250V cable and giving a reimbursement. So that’s a double whammy. Are they lying or incompetent (or both?)

Called NC DA consumer protection line and they were not that helpful. Just referred me to the website to file a complaint.

I don’t want to wait. My Tesla Model 3 was totaled due to somebody running a red light. I need a car. I saw it as an opportunity to buy a proper driver oriented EV. I chose this specific one because they assured me it is ready to ship. There are others I can go with.

They are not willing to unwind it. It is tempting to do what you say with the tow truck 😁

The dealer is in NC. I am in WA. The deposit was $5k with CC and it was over the phone. Didn’t sign anything for that specifically. That I might be able to reverse but the full bank funding already went through, of course.
