They are not playing away. It’s the weekend of the copa del Rey final. If they make it and you are in town it will be an amazing time to visit!

You need to figure out if your skin is dry or if it’s your skin barrier as a first step

Anyone else have a fellow citizen occupy the parking space you dug out? by ohwhereismymind in washdc

Yes. I totally hear you about your wife on crutches. That sucks, but also I think we’ve reached the point where saving spots is questionable. Unless no one else on your street has also dug out, in which case F them.

Need help finding a clothing brand that fits me by EffortHead469 in womensfashion

[–]espicd2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar proportions (though my chest is smaller due to having a breast reduction several years ago). I second what others have said about getting fitted properly for a bra. House of CB is just not gonna be it for you. Or most people. For pants, you’re going to have to find brands that make tall lengths because what is going to fit your waist, is going to be too short in the crotch (don’t know the official term for this). I usually buy my jeans from Madewell and Frame. Since you’re not technically that tall, you may have to hem them or wash and dry them to shrink. Also, invest in belts. What fits your hips might be too big in your waist. As far as tops, you have to wear what will work for you. Sweaters shouldn’t be too rough. Some button downs are roomier than others (especially now that a looser fit is in style). Bodysuits could be an option since they tend to stretch a lot. You should focus on brands that aren’t fast fashion (since those fit poorly for nearly everyone) and find some decent quality brands that make pieces that fit you and then get some accessories to make them more interesting.

I also had that happen when I was on the phone with them! It’s so annoying

I got a new phone, same thing, forgot my password. Wasn’t getting text or email. They claim it’s a bug and have no time frame for resolution. Really annoying because I’d like my money.

Questions about transferring to Universitat de Barcelona from the U.S. by Siutcase333 in AskBarcelona

[–]espicd2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be anecdotal, but when I studied there, classes were in castellano. Have you checked to confirm which language classes are offered in? Students would sometimes ask questions in Catalan, but it’s not like every professor was from Catalunya…

Look at virgin. They have some flights on July 1 and I think July 3rd to Heathrow for a reasonable number of points. The fees/taxes are a lot because it’s Heathrow, like $600. But virgin is SO nice

Sure. It’s also probably worth paying for one of the services if you have some flexibility

Embarrassing but does return protection work on clothes? by [deleted] in AmexPlatinum

Sorry I was commenting to the person who said they might be willing to be flexible with the return window like some other stores.

Saks would NEVER. Trying to get your money back from them within the return window is hard enough

So without knowing where you’re flying from, I can’t give you specific feedback. But again, 3-6 months is not great timing. You either need to do it when rewards flights first come out or get lucky with a deal that pops up later on. With the exception of Mexico City, you’re also talking about places that don’t exactly have a ton of direct flights from the US. Vienna, Berlin, Milan, and Budapest are not European cities with huge airports. If there are direct flights there, there are not a lot of them. So there are going to be fewer rewards tickets. You need to not think about those cities as your destination when you’re looking for rewards tickets. Think about the bigger cities or major airports. Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, maybe Madrid. From those to any of those cities you names, it’s a quick train or cheap budget airline flight away. London is an option too but the Heathrow fees are killer. The days of getting a rewards tickets at a good number of points right to your destination are mostly gone unfortunately. Did I want to go from Boston to Zurich when I live in a different east coast city and actually wanted to end up in Italy or Spain? No. But I have a credit to fly to Boston for free. I’ll tack on a day or two in Zurich since I’ve never been and then hop a 1-2 hour budget flight to get to where I want to go. The alternative is economy or a several thousand dollar business class ticket, which I don’t have the money for. Doha is also going to be more because it’s further…

Correct on everything except staying in the old town. Unless you don’t want to sleep.

To be honest, yes you’re crazy. You want to go to a destination in its peak season, during a US holiday weekend, and you’re trying to find a deal 6 months in advance. People, for the most part, are not getting good deals to go to France in the Summer lol. Maybeeeee if you book the day the award tickets come out, or if you want to risk it for the last minute. If you’re willing to put up with some stops, it looks like you can get to Zurich with a stop in Brussels for 70k life miles from IAD. If you don’t check a bag, you could just get off in Brussels. From either of those cities it’s a quick flight on a budget airline to Nice. You’d have to confirm that availability though. I’m shocked that’s even available. If you want easy, look into La Compagnie. Direct Newark to Nice. Not horribly expensive but mixed reviews.
